Give it to him. Now.

David Oliver, I hope, The WB, hires, Bradley Cooper as...The Flash, as...Fast as possible, so that production can be...Sped up. I hope, The Flash is the...Barry Allen Flash.

I'd be more in tune with this if I had seen him in anything that required him not to be a smartass, unless Barry Allen's character's been changed in the three years since I stopped reading the comic.

Too old for Wally West, too mirthful for Barry Allen. Scrap this choice.

Too bad the movie (and the comics) have just given up on Wally.
Everyone's in love with Barry Allen's CSI potential.

Cooper was one of the highlights in A-Team for me and I'm not opposed to this choice. The real fun comes with the casting of the Rogues.

wadew1, If...The WB, wants a, Trilogy of Flash films, Barry could be introduced in the first film, Kid Flash (Wally) could be included in the sequel, and have Barry Allen die. Next...FLASH forward a few years and have...Wally West as the new Flash in the final film.

In the same way that Reynolds would have been a much more appropriate Kyle Rayner than Hal Jordan I fully expect Cooper to end up playing Barry Allen instead of Wally West - then of course there's the fact that Cooper would have made a much better Kyle Raynor and Reynolds a perfect Wally West in the first place.

Warner Brothers can be quite irksome sometimes.

...and that may be the geekiest post I make all week. Thank you and good night!

Hal has at least that action man thing going that Reynolds can liven up with personality. Barry has just always been way too dull and Johns bringing him back kills me. Hopefully Cooper does a Downey on him if he's Barry.

He's gonna have to. Hell I love the Flash and that love sprung from the old Barry Allen TV series but even I'll concede the character of Allen himself was dull as dishwater.

West always had more personality than Allen but neither ever had a whole lot. Cooper is fine and it would probably be a wise move for him to take it what with that Hangover heat cooling down.

As a guy who knows nothing about The Flash in terms of how old certain Flashes were*, but saw how great Cooper was in The A-Team, I say this sounds great.

*Or in general, I mean, he's The Flash, he runs really really fast. Does anything else really matter?

I think it would be wise to 'Tony Starkify' the character as was mentioned earlier anyway, leave Reynolds to do the serious stuff as GL, Cooper at the very least has the charisma to make Allen a likeable rogue - which is kinda what The Flash needs anyway.

...especially if you put him up against a villain like Gorilla Grodd*

*PLEASE put him up against Grodd

You have a very valid point. He runs fast, all the other shit is window dressing. There are I think, three DC heroes with strong, established identities, and no one gives a fuck about Green Arrow so that pretty much leaves the other two.

What about Aquaman?

He talks to fish. Boom.

And milks goats for children, apparently:

That panel is confusing, it makes me think dirty things about Aqualad.
