FOX PLEASED WITH CHEAPER ALIEN SCRIPT - Page 2

This story is all kinds of wrong. Natalie Portman or Noomi Rapace as a marine general? Did I read that correctly? Scott again working with FOX, and kowtowing to their demands?

I'd rather this either happen Scott's way, or not at all, and if FOX is really intent on forcing a PG13 film (smaller budget bothers me less, though I'd like Mr Scott to get the full 250 million he was originally demanding*) I hope he'll just walk. It's a foregone conclusion that FOX is going to wring every last penny from the psycho-sexual bones of the ALIEN franchise anyway whether he's involved or not, so I see no reason for him to stoop to working with them again even if it's part of some misbegotten desire to bring the series back to it's glory days

*Mr Murphy, your articles states "150 million", which contradicts the previous news item on the matter.

A PG-13 Alien movie doesn't sound very appealing.

UGH.

Fuck everything about this. I have a horrible feeling that Ridley's gonna be all 'good company man' and film whatever the fuck Fox tell him to for some reason - and it's yet more fucking rock salt to boot - fuck fuck fuck.

Problem is, Scott aint in his thirties anymore, how many more films has he really got left to give us? Can he really afford to do a 'for them' at this point in his career?

Gods Ridley, just go make Tripoli for fucks sake. I'll buy ten tickets to it. Promise.

I love Portman, and she could easily "jettison my alien out of the airlock" while in her panties, but it doesn't compute.

Course, I could be proven wrong. Maybe they're not going for the Ripley archetype at all. We haven't seen the script.

Sigourney Weaver's bush is more fitting as a space marine than Portman.

At this point I actually hate the idea of this movie. A lot.

I just visualized Galifianakis asking her if she will shave again for a role, her kind reply and Zach "not that kind of shaving".
