I was very excited to see the American Reunion movie. I saw American Pie just after college and remembered it was quite funny.
Jim, Michelle, Oz, Heather, Stifler reunite for their high school...
The emotions expressed through her crude drawings are really extraordinary.
What I love about the whole thing is that the crude quality of the drawings are clearly the work of someone who knows what they're doing. They're absolutely clear in intent and very appealing.
Seriously... for something so crude, these flames are really good!
Normally, I'd be appalled by such a suggestion. But I never really suspected that she'd be not just cute, but outright gorgeous in addition to cool and hilarious. So game on, I say.
I just realized that a lot of her drawings give off a similar vibe to the Perry Bible Fellowship. I realized this when her blogged linked to the Perry Bible Fellowship as something she enjoys!
I'm trying to articulate this as concern and not condescension:
I really hope she gets some help. From one who knows, the feeling of invincibility can lead to bad things, and doesn't last.
Agreed. This last entry was funny, but also disturbing and surprising. You would never know from her other comics that she went through phases like that, but I supposed that's the case with most people.
Really? It makes sense to me that someone whose previous entries have shown such high highs would also suffer some low lows.
Her drawing style confuses me sometimes. I end up assuming that she went through this bout with depression when she was a little girl.
I guess it makes sense in retrospect, but seeing her in interviews she always struck me as someone who was the most popular girl at school. Just really happy and bubbly, it sucks that there's a downside for her.
