Bad idea. Decline, Wahlberg.

This is a great idea. Wahlberg has the physique to portray the Crow as a homo-erotic ballet dancer in make-up and a Ziggy Stardust wig, just as he was meant to be before Brandon Lee ruined him.

Hmm...I could see it working, but I don't know. I would rather have someone like Michael Fassbender (yes, I know he's type-cast as everything) or someone of his ilk, honestly (maybe Ben Whishaw?).

Those are good picks. I was drawing an absolute blank of namedrops. It's like I got trapped in the shitty New Year's I watched the original on, and couldn't get out.

Would audience care for yet another Crow movie? They didn't seemed to give a damn to all other Crow sequels after the first movie.

I liked the direction the CROW franchise originally seemed set to take, with a new actor taking on the starring role every time and the story taking place in different settings and eras (even though both the Brandon Lee and Vincent Perez movies seemed to be set in the same urban dystopia). Hell, I was even psyched about the possibility of a futuristic version directed by Rob Zombie. But it seems kinda played out now, even though I'd be happy to see the return of Stephen Norrington to the director's chair. And Wahlberg? No.

At the risk of bringing a firestorm of fanboy hatred down upon my head, you know who I could see working in this? Pattinson. But only if the reboot went for the R rating.

I'll be honest, when I first saw the title, I thought he had been offered the chance to play the leads in remakes of THE FLY, THE BROOD, and THE CROW.

Kind of like a buffet of roles.

Hmm... I can see that being a pretty ballsy (yet obvious at the same time) choice. I honestly doubt whether he can honestly act worth a damn, but I like the idea of an actor known for playing a saintly, xeroxed version of a horror staple playing a demonic, hell-bent of vengeance supernatural warrior. I probably wouldn't chance it, though.

Just wanted to say I like Elisabeth Rappe.

Couple of other choices: Edgar Ramirez, who seems poised to break out thanks to CARLOS. And Josh Hartnett, who according to more than a few reports acquits himself pretty well as an action hero in that BUNRAKU movie. I think his low-key style might be well-suited to a CROW-style 'Man With No Name' kinda role.

The Crow? But.....what about the Bees? Doesn't anyone care about the Bees?

This is poor casting. Wahlberg is not a crow, he's a peacock.

Don't think he'd even take this. Too silly.

Damn this. Where's the proposed DMX as THE CROW?

Can't we just get the original on blu-ray? The director's cut would be a nice feature as well.
I second the bluray.

I guess they never saw Max Payne or Shooter? Wahlberg is so 2005 and he cannot emote. If you want RoboCrow Wahlberg is your man.

As for Norrington Blade remains a classic and he was scuttled by the B.S at Fox over the League.

Frankly, casting isn't worth a shit because there's literally no reason to keep making these movies at this point. Nobody remembers The Crow, and out of that entire franchise that first entry happens to be the only one worth watching (which is arguably giving it more credit than it's due).

If this must be made, Wahlberg doesn't at all feel right for it.

Harsh words for the original film I think considering thats a pretty great movie.
