Starting this week I am supposed to do at least one blog per week. I've been throwing together some topics to write about and this is where I would like some input from you.

Give me some ideas.....starting.........

Good one Teitr, lol.

Actually my mom was born in 1930, she could offer insight into that.

Why Harrison Ford should never retire from movie making.

To plant a field of white grapes or not? A love letter to Farmville.

How about...how healthy is it for us to be emotionally invested in franchises (TV or Movie)?
What was the movie that got you into movies?
What are your most watched films?
What are your five favorite directors, and what about them do you like?
A ten part retrospective on the films of Harrison Ford. Five of the best (Star Wars counts as one), five of the worst. A single entry for each.

A 20 part Blog series speculating on who the Villain in Batman 3 will be, starting with ...The Mad Hatter

This can be followed by another 20 part Blog series speculating on casting for each choice.

Hey now, there's some interesting stuff here. Thanks for the input.
Cylon, I was aiming towards 30 parts but I like the way you think :::::.

Eileen,

I've joined the board relatively recently, so I don't know the full story, but it's my understanding that you're a huge Harrison Ford fan and since I am as well I was interested in hearing your thoughts on the man and his career

A stream of consciousness account of you watching a movie you hated but haven't seen in a while.

"What's the worst thing to write about when you're facing writer's block?"

also

"Masturbation: Just how much is too much?"

On a slightly more serious note:
The Most Unlikely Film To Have Impacted My Life

Re-watch a movie that generally splits audiences down the middle, and whichever your opinion of it give a serious defense of the opposite. No fudging or caveat-ing -- Approach your argument as if you're being paid to lobby for the opinion you don't share. Then see if the process doesn't alter your previous perception some.

I might steal this since the whole mandatory blog thing started.

Cup -I want a history about how you joined chud. What it was like in the begining.

What it's like being a Mod on the boards?

Maybe a Fetal Films type of entry?

How it feels as a woman (reportedly) in a male dominated field.

Go!

I've got one.

What's it like being Serpico?

What happens if you don't blog? Like will you not get paid or something? All I could think of when I read those posts was when I was a kid in school having to write essays and whatnot. You tried to do a competent job, but unless it was a topic you really liked or cared about, it always turned out to be boring as shit. If you aren't coming up with ideas on your own, its just like high-school all over again. I CAN'T WAIT!!

Here's one for Eileen to steal back from me:

Erotic Recountings of American History.

I'll trade you Batman for the privilege of writing slash fiction about American History. DEAL?!?!

As someone who used to blog and write stuff fairly regularly, trying to find the thing that interests you enough to write about was always the most challenging but fun part. Thinking of a thing you saw or dealt with that day or week and figuring out how to present it was a challenge at first but actually more natural as time goes on.

Just look for things that stick out to you and seem like you could write a few hundred words on (or however long you want your blog posts to be). I think the key to sustainability on something like this is being able to drive it yourself.

Back to blogging. All I did with this one was list the suggestions most of you provided.

Again, thanks so much for the input.
