Nice. Now you need to acknowledge his natural opposite, Gerald Okamura.

It always makes me happy when Leong pops up in something I'm watching. Which means I'm pretty much happy all the time.

The B-Action crowd will love it! Truly a henchMAN amongst henchboys.

Joel Silver productions used him a ton back in the day IIRC.

I feel the same way. Which reminds me, Jeff Imada should get a salute sometime.

Take a leep over the broom
That's how you're makin' me feel
Come on in this room
And let's keep it real and go

Half on a baby
All I need is your body next to me
Singing ooh, na, na, na, na, na, na, na
Give me your body, your body, na, na, na, na

These are the nicest talkbacks I've read on this site I think. That right there is the power of Leong.

Love these articles.

Al Leong is amazing. He's that gift when you see him in an action movie and makes you light up. First thing I remember seeing him in was Die Hard. Then it was always a treat seeing him show up in bit parts.

He actually had a fairly large speaking role in the Andy Sidaris movie, Savage Beach. I rented that on vhs long ago, and was surprised to see him in the movie, and even more surprised to hear him speak more than a handful of lines.

Agreed. The guys like summer days in the backyard in childhood, or a warm much loved old blanket or any other number of treasured memories.

His appearance will always make me smile.

Truly a legend and one of the greats.

I actually only found out his name later in life.

He always used to be: That Chinese guy who dies in every movie.

And it's always a treat to see him. Glad to see he's deservedly getting his due.
