Nothing but the title when I click on the link.

I can't stop looking at it. It's hypnotic.

My copy of GURPS broke down shortly after buying it, so Steve Jackson Games just sent me another copy, even though it was over a year since 4th edition was published. Top class.

I snagged a pic of her giving an interview at Toronto's Con this summer. That is all.

Never been to a con, but I'm a little surprised there's touching going on for these pics.

I always found such celeb/fan photos, and even autographs to be so lacking. It's not like you actually know the person, other than just being in their space for a few seconds and saying "hi".

Granted, there are always exceptions, but it all seems so pointless, for the most part. Glau's fixed expression only cements my point.

Not to get all psychological, but being in touching range of or sharing a moment with a celebrity makes the normies feel like they(we) are part of a larger connected world.

The gif is (sorta) funny, but Iain's snark for the people who have the nerve to be physically or stylistically imperfect kind of rubs me the wrong way. I think he should stick to the tech columns (which he's really good at), and retire from the Quixotic task of putting down convention nerds.

Thanks for explaining the joke, though (I kid, I kid).

Judging by her choice of top, I'd say she was trying to give these virgins their money's worth.

I don't know why people find things like this so funny/fascinating. She's on a photo-op assembly line. It's her job to strike the same smile, same pose, over-and-over.

FYI, the flickr page is gone.

I like the Luke Perry one more. Glau is too sucessfull at hiding her distain, while it's all over poor Dylan's face.

James Marsters seems like a really good sport in all these pics. He doesn't seem to turn anything down no matter how seemingly creepy someone is. Cool guy.

Exactly. I am the same way with photo taking. I either smile spontaneously or not at all. If asked to hold a smile for a photo, I basically have to contort my face muscles into something aproximating a smile and do my best to maintain it while the photog fiddles with their camera

It looks plasticy and fake because it is plasticy and fake. You keep a warm and genuine smile on your face when you're trying to keep it exactly the same over the course of a 10 second period while someone sets up a shot
