"I didn't forget everything."

That line, and those last 3 seconds, seem tailor-made to make the entire theater go bugfuck nuts.

I know it worked like that for ME. Can't wait!!

90 -120 minutes more of Liam Neeson shouting at people and breaking Paris? Yeah, I can get behind that.

Bingo. This looks like a fun time at the movies.

Hell, yes. Bring me some trashy, faxu-Hitchcock, and I'm a happy guy.

Reminds me of Polanski's FRANTIC (which always reminds me of the NINTH GATE) and THE FUGITIVE.

TAKEN was solid. I'll watch it.

His level of badassery in Taken and the snippets of this trailer are quite impressive.

I like the cast too.

Totally.

Is it just me, or is Our Liam's American accent a bit better than before here?

That'd actually make a pretty good Awesome-o style movie generator.

90-120 minutes more of Liam Neeson shouting at people and breaking *insert location, name of despo/terrorist outfit here.*

The trailer doesn't reveal too much (which is good), but that line sorta makes me think we might be in for something with a little TOTAL RECALL. No ass-getting to Mars though.

My dad is a huge TAKEN fan for some reason, I'm a little bit cooler on the film but appreciate seeing Neeson do genre work. Hope this new one turns out well, I'd like to see him do more of this kind of thing in the future (since Spielberg is too busy with horses and robots to do LINCOLN, apparently).

PS Don't think Jones is ever going to blow up though. I think she's well cast on MM but not particularly talented

I don't go in for the whole "fixed" thing (it's not my place to put words in the mouths of others, especially not a lady.) However, there's a word in this quote that doesn't belong there.

That word, of course, is "some."

If I were to suggest an alternative wording, one might be:

"My dad is a huge Taken fan for numerous reasons, including but not limited to Famke Janssen, Liam Neeson buying his 17 year old daughter a karaoke set for her birthday, and then literally using the kitchen sink to best one of his many opponents."

Haha, thank you for going to such remarkable lengths to excuse your word replacement humor!

Anyway, I wrote "some reason" because there was a specific reason but I didn't feel like getting into it. Now that you've brought it up though, I'll explain I guess:

My sister has done alot of traveling abroad in France and Europe, and my dad explicitly stated that he enjoyed TAKEN because he worries about her safety when she travels and enjoyed seeing Neeson out there kicking ass in the name of his family. My dad usually denigrates my taste in films (it really bothers me, even though he'll admit I know alot about movies he dismisses entire genres out of hand), and so I kind of slightly resent the fact he enjoys TAKEN because of a sibling and not an innate love of Liam Neeson or watching action films with me. I have not traveled much in my life, and kind of begrudge my sister for her globe trotting exploits*, so my feelings on TAKEN are rather complicated. I know that is pretty much entirely irrational, but that's why I didn't bother to go into it in my first post.

*This is made all the worse in my mind because I was going to go on a European trip when I turned 18 and my parents threw up blockades at every turn preventing it from happening. They didn't have faith in my ability to be safe and travel alone, and so I never went and instead blew my travel funds on frivolities. I often think if I'd gone on that trip I'd have avoided alot of unpleasant stuff that's happened in the years since. Now when it's my sisters turn to travel, they're nothing but supportive.

Not a problem, Your Highness. I'm a gentleman and we're a dying breed. Gotta keep up appearances.

Sorry to hear you missed out on that trip (and wrongly assuming about the Taken thing) but at least some good came of it.

Not enough people use words like "frivolities."

Looks like a good time.

Badass Neeson? Check. Neeson fucking up shit and badguys? Check. Director of the underrated House Of Wax remake, and Orphan? Check. Cool mysterious plot element? Check.

Yeah, that trailer has me, and I'll see it opening weekend.
