It's part of my Halloween party programming this year, so I decided to revisit it before hand. Darn is it a good film. Well acted, particularly by Niall MacGinniss, atmospheric, and intelligent. Other than perhaps wishing that the library attack was handled a bit better, there's hardly anything to complain about.

Incidentally, I'm coming around to the idea that it wasn't a mistake to show the demon early on. If not, it very well could be a story about an arrogant American persecuting a guy that's not guilty of much of anything, except playing along with a superstitious thought. Laying the cards on the table early underlines the ticking clock.
