I still have no idea what kind of game this is going to be. I don't want a BttF game where you just click on a stagnant screen to run little animations. A bit odd that Michael couldn't do his voice. He seems to be quite capable. The soundalike doesn't do much for me. I do dig the, what I assume is, twenty-something year old Doc. I'm guessing Marty goes to the 30s-40s.

Ever played a Telltale game? All of their stuff is pretty similar, so most likely you'll walk around a few locations talking to people, picking things up and doing item and dialogue puzzles to move the plot forward, with occasional mediocre minigames for variety. BTTF is actually a really good fit for the kind of thing they do.

They've been improving fairly steadily, by Monkey Island they'd overcome a lot of the repetitive gameplay problems their early stuff had. But I hope they've gotten past their bad habit of obviously recycling the same four or five character models again and again. Still not the biggest fan of their visual style either, the Doc is kind of an ugly design. But I'm looking forward to it.

As much as I would love a kickass BTTF game it doesn't look like this is going to be it. Christopher Lloyd sounds pretty rough, too, but I won't hold that against him. The cartoony look reminds me of the WII Ghostbusters.

I went to the AMC showing of the first movie last night. So much fun. People have a lot of affection for the movie and you can feel it.

The game... eh... I don't quite get it. Is it normal for a downloadable game to cost that much when there are more chapters coming?

Sad to see it turn out this way. I can only speak for myself, but I'm not the kind of gamer who gets into this lighter episodic fare. I'd have prefered an AAA BTTF game with a self contained story and mind bendingly accurate graphics. I want to wander Hill Valley in different eras and drive a Delorean, not gawk at cell shading and MJF sound alikes.

Oh well. Can't win 'em all

Well it's not AAA and the graphics will pretty much suck, but based on how this company has been making games recently the series will most likely have a self contained story, and I'll be surprised if it doesn't cover different eras in each episode. The genre isn't for everyone though so whatever.

That price will be for the whole series.

Yeah, no doubt alot of care has gone into this thing (what with Mr Gale's involvement, ETC), I just don't think it's for me.

I hated their Tales of Monkey Island. I didn't like the softened humor, the easy-as-hell riddles, the ugly graphics and the ass controls. ESCAPE already sucked with that terribly unfunny Monkey Kombat, ugly graphics and ass controls, but TALES turned out even worse than that.

I'm a SECRET geek since the Amiga days, but they should've stopped after CURSE.

Probably a discussion for elsewhere but personally I wish they hadn't even made Curse. But having accepted that the series' integrity was long since fucked I found Tales diverting enough on its own terms. Agree that Telltale's humour suffers from a serious lack of edge.

Telltale games just isn't a very good game company, so I'm not looking forward to this at all.

I took a survey about the game a couple of months ago, in which they proposed four or five scenarios that were very obviously episode ideas. (I remember the 1930s, the '60s, the '80s, and 2010--which sounded like the "future" from the game's perspective.) So yes, I would wager each episode will take place in a different time period.

Also, you can check out the first episode for free when it becomes available: http://www.telltalegames.com/bttfoffer

I'll just wait to see how the PS3 version looks.
