When I first saw the article, I was thinking Whalberg would be the bear. That could have been brilliant. His interaction with his daughter in HUCKABEE's make me think that he could be hysterical as a deranged Teddy Bear

Since I guess that's not the direction they're going though, we'll just have to wait and see. I've turned around on MacFarlane somewhat after his excellent panel work on RTwBM on HBO, and thought the voice work he did for HB2 was un-terrible. Whalberg is someone who can definitely excel in the right role, and if he keeps that HAPPENING expression on his face (from the image that ran with the article) amid the absurdity, who knows, maybe it could work

The fact they're shooting for R suggests that maybe at least they'll have a daring take on the material (instead of merely using the r as an excuse for curse words and scatological humor)
