Bunch of pussies ITT. This is a forum , not a opium den full of scholars. Some of you act like this is your church and it has been desecrated. I thought that Bodily Fluid list was terrible but I ignored it. We got a decent feature going now with the Sacred Cows.

Elitism on these boards has always bugged me. I realize CHUD is one of the best forums for civil (enough) conversation regarding movies but that doesn't mean your monocles have to fall out in rage when something like this pops up.

It's that, to people following CHUD on Facebook, all that great content is going to be seen side-by-side with something like this. And while you might see it as a little goof, to some, it looks like the idea is "Throw anything out there as long as it's content." I mean, you always say, "Well, if people don't like it, it'll go away." I just think a little more quality control needs to happen before stuff sees the light of day on anything officially CHUD; what might seem like a harmless bit of goofiness might not play as well outside the inner circle.

Mostly I'll just say I was there when several of the chudfolk acted like dicks the nanosecond something they considered "inappropriate" was posted.

Some folks need to lighten the hell up. Or maybe Nick should start a panel of folks that he needs to run things by so they can tell him whether or not they're appropriate for the site.

I did not mean to offend you with my critique of this feature. I tried to be as polite about it as possible. I figured you read the board, and that was the place to make our thougts known to you. I've sent you PMs before with no reply, so I didn't want to pepper you with missives every time I have a new thought about the NEW CHUD. I felt that by posting on the official thread for this VOTD day feature, my thoughts were being entered in the log, so to speak

I know not every feature will appeal to me, and I do love all the CHUD content we've been getting lately. My criticism of VOTD was based purely in the fact it seemed a little low brow, and NSFW given the fact the thread for it would have been on the NOW TALKING part of the main page daily, since it was intended to be a daily feature

I'm a little surprised that anything can be NSFW on an iTouch or whatever the hell it is that you constantly browse the site from. If you can't reach the period key then the font isn't large enough to get anyone upset about what you are doing.

1) it is called an iPod Touch, I dislike when people misuse APPLE speak

2) I use my iPod at home with wifi, these days usually from under an electric heat blanket due to unseasonal chills. At work I use a Dell or something with a normal sized monitor.

And Chris. People bitched and it got taken down. I don't care what anyone says about leaving the site or whatever, but people were being shitty and it got taken down. The whiners won. In the long run, it's an inconsequential picture that no one will remember, but it was shitty for people to complain about it the way they did in the first place.

You're right. There was also the 20 GROSSEST SECRETIONS list, and reviews of the first two hours of videogames, and news articles simply reposted from Variety, and stories that always seem to run a day after they were reported everywhere else, and a lack of any sort of editorial voice or oversight after Devin left, and hard-hitting journalistic exposes like, "You know what? Criterion makes some pretty good DVDs!" Oh, and adware viruses that crashed my hard drive not once but twice. Let's not forget the viruses.

But hey, I've been lurking for eight years, had some good times, met some good people, etc. No hard feelings and best of luck in the future, y'all. Time for me to CLIP-CLOP down that long and dusty road.
