You Don't Know Jack is Back!

Thread Starter
Buckle up, motherfuckers. The ONLY trivia game is back this January.

"YOU DON'T KNOW JACK, the original quiz show party game, is back and more insane than ever! You're the contestant in a truly interactive game show experience, complete with cash, prizes, backstage characters, pounding music, bizarre sound effects and your snarky host, Cookie Masterson. Play at home or online - alone or with friends -as you battle through a trivia mind-field on your way to victory, defeat or, more likely, utter humiliation.

You might ask, "Wait, aren't there already other trivia games out there?" Well, sure, but...they kinda suck. Others have been desperately trying to recreate what YOU DON'T KNOW JACK pioneered - hilariously twisted trivia presented in a fast-paced, in-your-face game show - with varying degrees of failure.

That's why we've decided to re-imagine a new-and-improved YOU DON'T KNOW JACK for the 21st century. All of your favorite elements are still there: the twisted multiple-choice questions, musical question intros, the DisOrDat™, Screw Your Neighbor™ and the Jack Attack™. But we weren't content to just repackage the old experience. There are of course all-new questions, all kinds of new face-melting features and surprises, and all-new game modes - including online play!"

Coming to Wii, PS3, 360, DS, PSP and PC January 25th!

My friend was a writer on this. Should be good.

I hope that Cookie guy kept himself busy between Jack gigs over the last 15 years.

I LOVED this game back when. Nice to hear it's making a return.

At an old job many moons ago, we played this the entire afternoon of 12/23, just before everyone left for Christmas. There were only about 5-6 of us that hadn't gone on vacation already. Awesome.

Online play sounds interesting. Chewer trivia night?

This is some of the best news I've heard in a long, long time. I look forward to the freakouts from entering "Fuck You" as an answer.

Such great news. Can't wait for this.

For those who don't know, there are free episodes online- http://www.youdontknowjack.com/episo...640&height=390

I thought this was a post about the movie "You Don't Know Jack" starring Al Pacino, which I'm about to watch. My bad.

Shame that we can't have Gibberish Questions on the 360 version. Means we won't get hilarious profanity-inspired moments such as this and this.

NEW INFO

- It looks like this is a full boxed release and not DLC for consoles (PC guys will probably be downloading it).  Gamestop is currently listing at $39.99 but discounted to $29.99, so it looks like it won't be the standard $60 price point on release, which is great.

- From the Achievables list, it also appears to be in episode format.  What this means for random questions remains to be seen.  I would HOPE there's some randomization, since playing this online with your standard completionist fiend would be pointless if they know all the answers from their previous plays.

- Also from the aforementioned list, DLC episodes are in the works.

- The release date got bumped to February 8.

Finally.  I loved this series, and thought it would be perfect for Xbox Live.  I may actually get to use my SceneIt! buzzers with a different game, too.

Today is the day. Wish/hope this series would explode Angry Birds-like over every conceivable platform known to man.

I'm not seeing the pc version on any direct download sites. Rats.

It's up on Steam, however there's a nasty rumor going around that the PC version is non-online multiplayer only.

I'm getting this for 360 today.

Nabbing this for 20 on Steam is great. Curious if pc gets the day 1 dlc, like I saw on Xbox Marketplace just now, but a quick search on Steam says no to that. Have you had a chance to confirm/deny online multiplayer Jacob?

Installing Steam version now, I'll let ya know if it's local only or online...

EDIT: Looks like local only for pc. :(

Just installed it too, and played a round before going back to work. Kind of sucks there's only local two player action on the pc - when there used to be room for three. Still fun times, and it's nice to have the fake ads back.

Nabbed this for the Wii this afternoon - finally a good use of a Christmas Best Buy gift card

I missed these games so much.

Just played a quick match over Live.  Had a full game, and if you like the group you can continue on to other episodes as a group.  Also voice chat, because hearing reactions to the questions and right/wrong answers is great.  Not as great as a local YDKJ drinking game, but it does in a pinch.

Lag's a little iffy at times.  It's pretty noticeable in Jack Attack.  Other than that, having fun.

We need to get a full CHUD crew quizzing sometime.

Sucks about the PC version.

About to jump on and play in about 10, if anyone would like to play.  Gamertag is RegularGerg.
