"JubJub Hunt: How to Catch a JubJub Bird"
The deadline for this year's puppet contest was last night. Joel from MST3K is a returning judge. All vids had to be under 2.5 minutes. I ended up cutting "A Late Night Snack" from 5.5 down to 2.5. It was painful. It has been in the works for weeks and I had to lose some good stuff (IMO). I'll probably upload the rough extended version as well for grins. It was also painful that the vid looked waaay too dark initally once it was processed by youtube. What a nightmare trying to balance for that, contrast, codecs, etc. Shadows and colors still don't look like it does in "raw" form on my PC.
"How to Catch a JubJub Bird" was thrown together VERY last minute with footage I shot mostly (some of it seen here) a couple years back and a hodgepodge of 11th hour brainstorming ideas. There are tons of stuff I wish I could change and things I couldn't quite squeeze in, but I had to make the deadline. It needs more polish. Not my best work. My buddy's music lifts it up for sure.
As a 3rd entry (max 3), I also re-submitted my 2nd place winning vid from 2008. Can't hurt.
Enjoy! After working 80 hour weeks for 4 months, it's nice to get back into creating something for me.
