So far so good.

But what's the deal with calling Dredd a comic strip? Does it not mean what I think it does? Because I don't remember ever reading Dredd in strip format. It was always multiple pages.

Imagine a Judge Dredd movie done properly. Jesus. It could be incredible. Hope is a dangerous thing, particularly for a movie fan. But I really do hope.

Being a dirty Limey this doesn't affect me too much besides the film getting a bit more funding, which is swell. But how much faith do people have in Pete Travis to deliver a Judge Dredd movie 'done properly'?

Nice to see Dwayne Johnson staying in the R-rated action film genre for at least another go-round (even if it its from Simon West)

I have no sense of...Dread, with this new version of, Mega City One's Toughest Judge...DREDD! I hope Dredd, doesn't get swamped in a year with...7 Superhero/Comic Book Films, in all.

You absolutely have the right to be skeptical, but Travis is a protegee of Paul Greengrass (no slouch) and Vantage Point's problems were strictly script related, so I wouldn't be too worried with him on board this project (Garland on scripting duties is usually a safe bet).
