Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom

Majin and the Foreskin Kingdom just got it's price slashed on the PS3. Demo has been out for a while now on both platforms, and it's odd not hearing anyone give a peep about this.

Where Enslaved was loosely associated with Journey to The West, it feels like this has ties to "Of Mice and Men". Both feature lush colorful worlds to platform, battle, and puzzle solve. I can easily see other people wanting to mute Majin. Way too chatty of an npc that wasn't endearing, but kind of annoying. Doesn't help that your first order you give him, he inadvertently knocks you off the bridge into a pit...wife asked what was the deal with the Barney voice.

I wasn't that impressed with the demo of this, which makes me a bit sad. I liked the videos of the game, but the demo didn't look or play very well IMO. Perhaps they just picked a very poor area for the demo or something. Majin seems like the type of game I would enjoy.

I enjoyed the demo for the most part. When I first heard about the game, comparisons were made to Team Ico stuff, and I can sort of see the influence, but at the same time, it was hard to distance Majin form those games while I was playing the demo. The talky vocalizations didn't help either. Perhaps relative silence or unspoken means of communication would have been a better fit.

In the end, I can take it for what it is, and I didn't think it was that bad at all. From the little montage at the end of the demo it looks like it opens up a bit so I'd be happy to play it someday. It was a fun demo that just needs to be taken on its own terms, and I would hope that the pre-release oprice drops would help it sell more. It's another new IP, sort of like Enslaved, where it would be nice if it could find an audience.

I didn't enjoy the demo much, I actually read the thread title and sort of recognized the name but didn't remember the game until I read the posts, the whole thing was very forgettable.

I think part of my lack of enjoyment was the bland bad guys and boring combat system.

Now take my general grumpiness with a grain of salt, I didn't like the latest Castlevania demo either (although this seemed much much worse to me of course).

Typo or Freudian slip? I must know!

15 point score in scrabble...Currently I'm pitching a puzzle solving game for the iPad, in the vein of Cut the Rope, titled Forsaken Foreskin. If only just to troll the apple commercials when it becomes a million unit seller.

Ultimately it's what it all boils down to is trolling...and unused penis meat. In either order.

23 bucks, on both platforms, right now at Amazon.

Really? It's kind of hard to argue with that price.
