Celebrate the greatest year of music in recent memory by compiling the greatest mix CD you can possibly create and exchanging it with a near stranger!

Sign-ups for the next couple of weeks, maybe right up to Thanksgiving. I'll match people up after that.

For people who don't dig the international shipping: I recommend using a file uploading service. Works wonders. But there's nothing like getting an old fashioned CD in the mail. If you're really afraid of international shipping. just say so.

No theme, no limitations. Just bring it. Make it your best. Make the other person cry with happiness and despair with the tunes you select. Fucking bring it!

Not to be a downer, but wasn't it discussed that this sort of thing would fly in the face of the no piracy rules around here? I'm all for this, I just don't want to see folks getting in trouble for it.

If I get banned for suggesting a harmless mix CD exchange, then so be it. If it's come to that, this ain't the place for me. I understand (and agree with) the piracy stance, but come on.

I guess I just don't get this. I think pirating music and movies is bullshit, but if it's a mix CD, what's the problem? Artists would probably be thrilled to find out that they've on someone's mix CD and got introduced to a new listener. It's the modern radio ever since radio started to suck.

Anyway, I'm not even sure Devin would care, were he still here. It'd be one thing if we were bragging about ripping off CD's wholesale off the internet. I don't even think he would give a shit about a mix.

Who knows and who cares? If any mods have a problem, I guess let me know.

ETA: I don't mean to sound like I"m arguing with you, Richard, it's just where I'm coming from on the issue.

Putting the finishing touches on Jeb's mix. I'm like a mad scientist when it comes to making mixes. I tend to analyze every nook and cranny, second-guessing my choices to the very last second. If the flow doesn't sound completely good to my ears, a song that I really, really love will still get axed.

I do have a theme I guess: ADRENALINE. If this is a successful mix, it'll pump up your adrenaline levels 100 times over.
