To be honest I was loving the mix anyways, but when I heard Point Blank from the Oldboy score I fell in love. I love that soundtrack and it's never got the recognition it deserved so it's thrilling to find out there are other fans.

Loved the use of Jeff Beal and the excerpt from Mishima (which is one of my favourite Glass compositions). In general terms this album kicked my ass. Just an amazing piece of work.

Glad you like it. There's nothing groundbreaking on it. Just songs that make me wanna boogie. Now, I wonder if Louris got the copy I sent him...

I really dig that Pipettes song. I had never even heard of them before.

Yeah!!! You have to check out "We Are the Pipettes" because Pull Shapes is representative of the entire album. It's one of those albums that I can put on and be completely happy even though I had a terrible day. Breezy, joyful pop at its finest.

Nice playlist, Mattioli. Then again, you and I have pretty similar tastes when it comes to the 80s (Huey Lewis being the exception, of course). Nice to see some Replacements on there.

Sorry, haven't had a chance to respond until today. I got it, but it was smashed to hell in shipping somehow, case pulverized, disc snapped. The art was readable though, so I just pulled the songs on the list I already had, downloaded the rest (sinner!) and burned it myself.

Great work, it gave me a jumping off point for a couple of bands I've always wanted to try but didn't really know where to start (Cibo Mato and We Are Scientists).

Oh, and Parker, your disc showed up back at my house yesterday marked "package refused".

The fuck? I certainly didn't refuse the package. I never got the disc but I just got the media files so I didn't say anything. Weird.

Have yet to receive anything from matches (?) and NathanW has yet to confirm he received my PM with his download link.

ETA: Received word from NathanW. I'll post the track list when I get a chance.
