Big batch of actors and celebrities mentioned in conjunction with the Segel's Muppet movie.

Easily my most anticipated film of 2011.

Other than the fact that I really kind of hate Lady Gaga with the fire of a thousand suns, still one of the top releases for me for next year.

Donald Glover + Muppets? I just died.

John Krasinski of The Office and Captain America rumor
HAH!

I'd like to see an exchange between Rowlf and Danny Trejo. This is a great start for the cameos gallery. If there is any Jack Black, it needs to stay the hell away from Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem... unless Kyle shows up.

Wow, what a fantastic list of names. Literally, the only name on that list that gives me any pause at all is Black, and I think even he could work in conjunction with the right Muppets (which I agree means not shoe-horning him in with Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem). One of my most anticipated movies of my recent memory so far.

Agreed.

This may rival The Muppet Movie in sheer awesome cameo power.

Have we found out if this is a musical or not? If so, who's doing the songs? And can they get Paul Williams back?

If Steve Martin somehow snuck his way onto that list I would cry from sheer joy. But as is, it's pretty great.

And as already stated: Donald Glover and Muppets? Yes, please.

How amazing would that be to see him show up as the same waiter?

I'm going to third this love for Donald Glover + Muppets.

I'm also going to leave this here to show why I love it.

There's nothing about this news I don't love.

I do love that cast list, but part of me wishes that those were all hosts/musical guests for an upcoming weekly Muppets tv series.

When you put it that way it seems strange that there isn't an ongoing series right now. The generation(s) who grew up on The Muppets are now parents. Surely the time is ripe.

She does good work for gay rights

And.. Galifinakis? Really? He's a true creep, and a star whose screen presence has only grown more grating with each passing minute that I'm exposed to him. I liked what he did on RTwBM, but putting Galifinakis in a kids movie is the worst thing since getting 1990s Whitney Houston to host the KIDS CHOICE AWARDS. Just who is this muppet flick for, anyway? Galifinakis is pretty much the last person I'd want foisted on me back when I was little

I assume the same audience that The Muppet Movie was intended for back in 1979. Did any kids really know who Orson Welles, James Coburn, Elliot Gould or Richard Pryor were? No, they were put there for the adults watching it.

Fair enough, I get that, I am just saying that I think Galifinakis' personality and demeanor do not fit in a kids movie, where as all those folks came off as pretty charming and affable. Galifinakis gives me the creepin' willies
