I will pray to my deity of choice (as soon as I choose one) that this isn't just going to be The Sweetest Thing all over again. The females of our species deserve better than crap like that.

Applying a last minute defibrillator to this neglected thread. I agree with the above post that I hope this doesn't turn into another The Sweetest Thing, but I'm pulling for the untested, in this arena, Portman, because I like that she seems to be taking charge of her career in a substantial way.

I don't necessarily think that women need a female-centric Superbad, they just need something that's not Bride Wars or The Bounty Hunter or whatever other cancerous shit passes for films aimed at women.
