Eh, I hate to say it but Scott's ended up with the career his talent level deserves.

I wonder if they will reference Wolverine as "Patch" in this movie.

I saw poor Dougray Scott in some terrible b-grade Scottish thriller. A movie so bad that even my stoner friends had enough presence to acknowledge it. It's true Heath Ledger is way cooler. But I still don't think this level of marginilisation is fair to his talents, because he plays badass very well.

Teitr Styrr, Well Patch was Logan's nickname in...Madripoor, so unless he decides to buy...The Princess Bar, after leaving Japan, that would best be saved for another film. I would love to see a...Madripoor set Wolverine film though.

I agree. Whenever I catch EVER AFTER (don't judge me!) or M:I2 on TV, I thank any powers that be that Scott was not Wolverine.

Fleed, I thought he was in Madripoor before he went to Japan. I thought it might be a good lead in to Japan.

Too late. I already judged you... but for MI:2, not Ever After. MI:2 is the only movie that has ever literally put me to sleep WITH IT'S MOTORCYCLE CHASE!!!

As for Dougray Scott talent-level, let's please not let things like facts derail my stupid not-as-obscure-as-I-thought-it-was joke. What he lacks in skills he makes up for with vestigial first-name-syllables.

Ever After is like the young girl's Godfather. I'm not judging.

I actually think Scott has talent. I won't condemn anyone on the basis of MI2. He was downright charming in Ever After, good and slimy in Twin Town, and commendable in Enigma. No better or worse than a lot of actors who make it big, you know? He was ok on that television show too, "Heist", that lasted all of 3 episodes.

I think he's just hit a point where he can't get good scripts, and he's just cashing a check. He had a lot of shit happen to him personally and professionally, and I think it shows in his work.

I just kind of want to give him some Prozac and a hug, and say "Dude, Josh Brolin came back from the abyss. You can too! Try out for the Coen Bros or something."

I could be wrong. I'm often swayed by a Scottish accent.

I'm talking about the horror of when Silver Fox (who wasn't really Silver Fox -- but kind of was -- and the cabin was all implanted memories) turned into a tree, and the art looks like I threw up Stolichnaya on the page.

I'd pull out the specific issues, but my Wolverine collection is in a perilous state. I'm afraid it will collapse and kill me.

Elisabeth Rappe! Professional therappeist and shoulder-to-cry-on for the stars!

Yeah, the only person that came across looking good in MI2 was Cruise.

I didn't know Scott had some personal troubles.

I'd take that job...especially if it meant I could take advantage of the low self-esteem of the good looking menfolk. (Oh, now MY insecurities are showing.)

But yeah, his wife very publicly cheated on and left him. It was really ugly, splashed all over the British tabloids at the time because she's a prominent casting director. I don't normally feel very sorry for famous people, but he actually looked like he had his heart ripped out and shown to him, Mola Ram style.

He's since married Claire Forlani, so he has that going for him. It appears he's basically turned model since all his heartache has left him all rugged and weary looking. He was all over the GAP ads when I was in London, looking like he was born to wear a peacoat instead of playing Wolverine.

I think molarammed should be the new verb/shorthand for when this happens to someone. I think we've all been molarammed at some point in our lives.

Elisabeth Rappe, Thank you for the update.

I loved...MI: 2. It is the only one, I enjoy.

Teiter Styrr, Logan, travelled to an from...Madripoor all the time. I wouldn't want it shoehorned into the opening of...The Wolverine, though, as a whole film should be set there. Logan would be Patch, the alias that everyone saw through. He would own The Princess Bar, and Archie Corrigan would be his pilot. The Silver Samurai would be his sort of ally. The quest could be for the Muramasa Sword. I would love to see original Spider-Woman Jessica Drew, as his side-kick, and the morally conflifted Prince Baran of Madripoor, and General Coy, as the villains of the film.
