Patrick's always going to be ANNIE HALL to me.
The entire B-Action Thread: 'Black Rain'.

I can't remember why, but I remember Diva spending an entire thanksgiving deleting all of the posts which made her seem bad (ie. most of them). Which is why we can't edit our posts nowadays.

Is it already time for the semiannual Battle Royale/My Ass thread review? Wow, that really crept up on me this season.

The edit feature was restored at least a year ago.

I think we can all find examples of long-time posters acting crazy if we dig hard enough. But let's be like Don Draper and MOVE FORWARD.

Huh, we can. There was time when you literally had about a minute to edit a post before you lost the functionality. Must have been changed AGES ago and I never noticed.

Maybe I should be glad that there's a whole history here that I don't know...

Let's start a countdown to the day that I go crazy.

That My Ass thread is a work of art.

I was the butt (heh heh) of the joke and I can still agree with this statement. Chewers are quite the creative bunch.

Even though An American Werewolf In London is my favorite movie, I know I'm probably not associated with it.

I always associate Phil with Rolling Thunder for obvious reasons.

As for my compatriots in The B Action Thread...

Rene is The Rookie.

HunterTarantino I associate with Silver Bullet.

Moltisanti I associate with Peter Hyams and Dolph Lundgren. Specifically: The films Narrow Margin and Universal Soldier.

Dr. Dean Edell should remind me of The Terminator because of his constant references to the TechNoir on Pico. But I associate him with Manhunter, Black Rain and The Star Chamber.

Paul McCartney is James Bond, of course... But I actually associate him with The Dark Knight.

Duke Fleed IS GI Joe... YO JOE!

I'll be back later with the rest.

Not to take this further down the road of threads scattered to the four winds, but that whole saga brought out the best in everybody.
Is there an index of all of the classic threads? If not, we should probably have one so that these don't get lost in time:
- Diva's Ass thread
- Brad Millette's Godzilla powercock thread
- Cleo's employment thread
- others that escape my memory.

"what peter karrie's really like"

And, in an attempt to put this back on track, I still kinda giggle any time I see anything from Phantom of the Opera as a result of that thread.

Sorry Blue Boy on a Bolivian Bus, you're Watchmen.
That Peter Karrie thread was glorious. So very VERY glorious.

I will forever associate Sinper with Molitsanti.

So does this mean we're now responsible for these films Fahrenheit 451-style? 'Cause I'm a little embarrassed to admit I've got a pretty good start on the first two films.

If that's the case, I've got 'Fletch' and 'Highlander' covered.

Yeah, I figured as much.

And I can totally live with that.

And I'll protect The Goonies (shut up about it) and Caddyshack.

Moltisanti is always Die Hard and Lethal Weapon to me.

I'd wager Wrath of Khan is a close second for Dickson after SW.

Patrick: all 70's and 80's era Woody Allen, not just Annie Hall.

Alex Rivello will always be Let The Right One In to me, as that's when I met him.

As for me, I can't think of any that stick out, although I've probably beat the drum for Spielberg's 1941 more than most [sane] people have.
Brendan - Clint Eastwood movies
Jonathan Banks - Movies with SCORES!
reggie-wanker - I actually associate HIM with Asian Cinema
Jesse Custer - LOST
Good call on Brendan. He certainly got me to watch my first Eastwood film.

Oh, that reminds me, Eileen and Harrison Ford movies. Or maybe it's just Harrison Ford, whatever.

Close, but it'd have to be a Spielberg, either Jaws or Raiders.

It was High Plains Drifter, wasn't it?

I'll always associate The Rain Dog with "Night of the Hunter" because when I first joined the forum, I was immediately impressed by his Robert Mitchum avatar and "Chiiilllldren!" under his name. Great avatar and custom title combo...it instantly made me a fan of the man.
Devin = Phantom of the Paradise, I remember seeing a picture of him with the Phantom's mask and I thought that was awesome.
Phil = Rolling Thunder, and for which I'm really grateful of him for hyping.
Jesse Custer = Lost and The Golden Compass
Spike = Oldboy, because of him linking pages to some essay he wrote on that film and Asian cinema (at least I think it was Spike, I have an old man's memory). That's when I really started to realize that Chewers are serious about their movie-loving.

I always associate both of you guys with Speed Racer.

Brendan, I associate with Batman Begins, since he drafted it the first round of the 2000's draft. NEVER FORGET.
Also THE AURA!

I bugged Phil for almost a YEAR on that!

I think of Pixar.

Who was it who successfully fan-cast Rorschach what seemed like a year or two before he was cast? Whoever it was, deserves to share Watchmen with Erix.

Diva - Carnivale and the Terminator series.

Was that not you? I don't think it was Rath, but I always remembered it being you. Sorry.

EDIT: Rathbandu drafted Batman Begins first round? Or is there another Rath I'm forgetting?

Rath's real name is Brenden (or Brendon). He went by that username for awhile, but it got to confusing with Brendan.
I associate Phil with Rolling Thunder before any other flick.

TzuDoNihm = Womb Raider
Joshua Miller = Transylmania
Brendan = Rocky
Diva = Battle Royale (this shit will stick with her forever)
Eileen = Serpico.
Rath didn't draft batman Begins. I thought it was one of guys named Chris.
