My old roommate loved the book, but then again he had terrible taste. I haven't read it, because I'm pretty sure there are thousands of terrific books I'd like to read before passing to the poorly written ones.

In any case, I think this is actually a really good pairing of material and director. I think the sensibilities match far better than David O. Russell. I'm very happy he's off the film and White is on. I also hope White makes a few passes at the script, as well. I think the guys a pretty good comedic writer. However this movie ultimately turns out, I don't think they've done anything but upped their chances at something good by picking Mike White.

Agreed on the Blunt front. She is a fantatic actress, her work and the young Queen Victoria was great. Girl needs something like this to give her more exposure.
