Color me...intrigued (?). I would have written this off completely, but I like the more refined visual style. Oh, and having David Leslie "Orphan" Johnson writing isn't too shabby either.

Had no idea Catherine Hardwicke used to be the production designer for such high profile films.

Oldman and Seyfried have pretty good records for picking things, so hopefully wont feel like a rehash of Burtons Sleepy Hollow.

Yep. I really do hate Twilight, but it was definitely conscious of it's over-wrought emotions, something few people gave it credit for. Hopefully, without the egregious source material, this can turn that into something good. I too am a sucker for Hardwicke's thematic fascinations, so it'll be interesting to see how this plays out.

And if it sucks, we always have Ginger Snaps.

The only thing I liked about the first Twilight is that Kristen Stewart's character looked at Robert Pattison and got wet. I don't think I've seen a lot of that in teen movies, where it's obvious that the female is so in lust for someone.

I like Amanda in that getup against the snow and Gary Oldman has my attention as always, but I'd rather have Neil Jordan's take on the material.

I don't know how much of it was intentional, but this looks exactly like how Red Riding Hood would be if you were doing a Twilight parody.

Seriously, that dude had gelled hair in what century?

Thank you. I thought I was going insane reading all the anticipation for this. The stuff in that trailer looks stunningly awful, and the film itself just looks supremely dull and more than a little bit silly to me. The line readings alone were wince-inducing (with the exception of Oldman, of course). I'm probably not the target audience for this, but still...yikes.

Yeah, this does look like absolute shit, IMO. Aside from some pretty shots that are not going to make me see a movie alone, the acting doesn't seem particularly inspired (is that one guy with the weirdly gelled hair trying to channel Robert Pattinson?) and the dialogue between the two leads is really quite like Twilight..."You could get hurt!" "I don't care!", etc. Sorry, but I'm not sold.

I'm one of the eight people in the world who loves LORDS OF DOGTOWN, so it's kind of dispiriting to see Hardwicke seemingly regressing like this. It's a crushingly obvious play for the TWILIGHT crowd.

Looks terribly, terribly overwrought. The Red Riding Hood story is really about sex. ABOUT SEX! YOU SEE! ABOUT SEX!

Still, I kind of like Hardwicke and I'm quite willing to have my mind changed.
