I have collaborated with many different musicians. Sometimes working with other people is a lot of fun. Playing with yourself is good too especially if it helps make you better at what you do.

I have some tracks to post. Right now I'm hosting songs on Soundcloud.

Here's the link: MUSIC

Give us some feedback if you like, yeah.

Siiiiiiiiiick. I'm happy to hear that my video game music can help out in real life applications. Go get 'em.

New track up today:

PSALM 69 [DEFLYNNED]

It's MINISTRY meets TRON Legacy with some very unkind noise thrown in for emphasis.

[edit]

I have made 3 new remixes of PSALM 69 by MINISTRY. They contain samples of music from the Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World and The Social Network soundtracks. There are also some soundbytes thrown in there from the FLYNNLIVES TRON Legacy viral campaign.

PSALM 69 [SP VS. EX #И] (V.1)

PSALM 69 [SP VS. EX #И] (V.2)

Now I have completed and submitted my end of 2010 project.

To recap: FIX is a documentary. FIX needed music. I made music for FIX and now my job is done.

Hear my contribution to crap on iTunes HERE.

Now on to my next job; remixing Moon River and splicing it with Wendy Carlos samples.

So I composed and arranged a song while delirious due to illness. Hooray!

Here is the brand new, fresh from the fourth and final revision / draft:

STRICKEN WITH FEVER

This is some serious "walking out to throw down against the Final Boss" music if ever there was any. The awesome klaxon-style riff only amps up the B-Movie quality. It conjures images of dimly lit corridors and otherworldly terrors. Love the plonky bass.

Might I suggest linking to all future songs with the above font size? It's a perfect mood-setter.

Agreed. Stricken with Fever is totally cutting dicks. That is a good thing, by the way.

Fuck yeah fellas. Got a new one here inspired by the fine sounds of Full Moon Features and such.

I'm thinkin' Cutting Dicks And Otherworldly Terrors needs to be an album title. Here's the news:

The following is an experiment that may turn out very badly:

I will work my ass off to compose a song while I watch Un Chien Andalou on mute. When the film ends, so will I.

[edit]

Well that sucked. With 15 minutes of scrambling and some cheat time to polish off, I managed to create an unlistenable mess.

Hear my abomination here:

I'll have to talk to some people with experience on how to spice it up next time.  Time to go watch The Rules of Attraction again!

Better sentence structure could definitely help avoid suicidal impressions. The last thing I wanna do is talk about the stopping point of my life.

I've been listening to a lot of instrumentals lately while reading. Also I've had the pleasure of hearing Alejandro Jodorowsky's scores for El Topo and The Holy Mountain. Other notables that've hit me lately are Chu Ishikawa, Drew Neumann, Fabio Frizzi, Coil, Herb Alpert, Lars Von Trier, John Carpenter, Nigel Godrich, Trent Reznor, Aphex Twin, Lalo Schifrin and Krzysztof Penderecki. Fun!

All that said, here's my new work:

VIDEO GAME MUSIC HERE:

THEME FÜR VIKTOR

The above title should now be the one that sticks. So far listeners have said, "That's legit!", "It sounds like old SEGA Boss Battle music!" and "Sick dude!!!"

So there you go. Easy money.

"Theme" is awesome, mate! Really love it. Especially the sort of chilled "break" section. Has a very nice military marching band kind of quality; a skeleton / alien soldier army, of course.

While I can see where you're coming from about the Social Network / SEGA comments, this still felt like its own beast. Its own beautiful, dark, groovy beast.

I can totally hear "Epic What" playing over the menu screen of some fantastic SNES era side-scroller as well. I'm picturing me customizing my weapons and frantically flipping through the instruction manual to make sure I know any "special moves" before the level starts or the next wave of baddies comes rushing onscreen. This would actually be a great track to listen to while playing the version of the Colonial Marines game in my mind. In the dark. At about half 2 in the morning.

The newest is an experiment in dark ambient sounds w/ garbled vox:

psiKOtherapy

It's been called "Darkly Intriguing" by a London artist called The Clocktoys.

Every bit as haunting and atmospheric as I'd expect from you, man!

If you don't score a bleak sci-fi movie (preferably one set against a Dystopian backdrop), it will be a crying shame.

Andrew, I am so sorry it has taken this long for me to start listening to your stuff. Working backwards from PsiKOtherapy - which is a wonderful mood piece. It's pure dread and paranoia.

I'll be commenting on the rest soon.

If there's ever a need for me to make movie sounds, I'm all about it.

Really enjoyed this one! It has a very Killing Joke-ish vibe with the quasi-primal drumming and chorused, distorted bass. Almost screams for some Jaz Coleman, end-of-the-world vocal ranting over the track or something similar to take it up to that ultimate level.

But definitely worth lots of replays. Well done!

Thank you Micah. I actually recorded vocals for this track that got deleted by my recording engineer. I didn't know about it until after the fact. Once I saw the track was missing while I was mixing, I just said, "Fuck it." and produced an instrumental. Your feedback helps me accept that it worked out regardless. Fuck yeah!

So, I never listened to Killing Joke before reading your feedback. I listened to a mix of their work from the albums: Killing Joke (1980), Revelations, Fire Dances and Pandemonium, and liked what I heard. Do you have any recommendations or suggestions?

Also, here's that engineer from the recording session:

Hah....suggestions for Killing Joke? Man...that's hard. They just have a real expansive and diverse discography. The self-titled 2003 album with Dave Grohl on drums is just wonderful. Extremities, Dirt & Various Repressed Emotions is also pretty essentialAside from those....I kinda like the mega 80s-sounding prog-pop of Outside the Gate. Lots of Killing Joke fans hate it or regard it as a Jaz Coleman solo record, but it's an odd, beautiful bird to me.

Between those and what you currently listened to....you'd be up to speed. Spotify is your friend.

Laker 4 (and my crap too!)

I recently had the honor of recording with CHUD's own The Lucky Nightsticks.

The album we did is available here: Laker 4 It's really is worth your attention.

On top of doing guitar and synth work for one of the best Alternative Rock bands around,

I have been making more music on my own and experimenting with very dense sounds.

Here's new:

Ramiel

The Final Equinox

Within The Realm Of The Dead

Thanks for checking these out and definitely make time for Laker 4 (It rocks!)
