Ok it looks like Flash Gordon is the overall choice so because of that and because today is the 19th anniversarry of Freddie Mercury's death Flash it is.

Decemeber is a big month full of parties and is bound to get booked up quickly so give me some times people.

Looking forward to this. BRING ME THE BORE WORMS!

In.

Central Time (GMT - 6 hours)
Saturday morning (December 11 or 18) would work best for me. I may be able to make the 4th as well.
I'll bite. Saturday mornings are the best.
Eastern GMT - 5 hours

Of the three times/dates Judas proposed, only 12/18 works for me. I would like to partake, but I don't want to make things difficult.

11th is good for me, 18th is bad as I'm working.

I second the vote for 12/11. Or sometime during the week between Christmas and New Year's.
We need all of the FG virgins to partake of this. They need to experience the triumph that is Vultan with others.

I can't on the 11th, probably can the 18th - after that I'm in south east asia for a month.
I know that I can't expect that this be designed to fit around my schedule, but I ALWAYS work Saturdays and I'd appreciate it if we could at least do it on a different AM, Sunday perhaps. If we stick with Saturday AM, I will never be able to participate
post #11 of 427
West Coast Nooj, the Flash Virgin is open to most any time on the PST.
I'm EST (and I'm an hour ahead of it because of Daylight Savings, but whatever. My point is, that's my basic time frame.)

I prefer weekend mornings (Saturday or Sunday). But I could probably work in a weekday afternoon or early evening.

I'm about to get some serious down time. So I am perfectly willing to be flexible for you gentlemen. Especially in December.

It goes without saying that we should probably leave the actual holidays alone.
Either Sat. morning the 11th or 18th would probably work, although I am on the West Coast, so if you could go as late/early as 7:00-7:30 AM PST, I could probably join in.
i'm open to whatever. just post it and i will try

oh and I can't wait to see this film in its entirety. going to be amazing
post #15 of 427
I haven't seen this film is so long but it'd be fun to see it again. Weekends would be better for me.
In fact, if its the 18th (the night of for me), I'll be on a plane and off the boards for a month less than 24 hours later.

Would be a nice way to say farewell to the boards over xmas.
Saturdays are best for me. I should be available on the eleventh, unless I'm called away at the last minute for filming. In fact, any Saturday (besides Christmas Day) I should be available, unless I'm needed for filming. But, as of right now, those days are free.

I'm sorry, nooj, but you're entirely too accommodating for that avatar. How can you deal with such a wealth of options right now?

As far as trying to save the date goes, I'm happy to let the majority hammer down what suits and I'll just do my best to make that work for me.

I can't deal with that question now.
December is getting busy and we're all making plans...let's firm up a time and date for this.

On the table:
Saturday, December 11th
Saturday, December 18th

May I humbly suggest the following:
- post which day(s) you are available.
- post the timeframe (converted to EST) that you'd be available to watch the film.
I'm available either day, but not in the evenings (say after 6pm).
I'm available either day, but the 18th would probably work out better for me.

I'm available in the morning, say until around noon EST.
I'm available on either of those dates... Noon EST seems about right for me. Just can't do evenings.

Im working on the 18th and then I have a Christmas party in the evening so the only date I can make is the 11th.

Looking forward to this.

There's no way that we're gonna do this without you (you suggested the film AND you started the thread), so I vote that we make it the 11th right now.
Seconded.

Plus, it's sooner. That's a good thing.
Morning of the 11th could probably work for me. I'm PST, so anytime after, say, 7:30 AM is good.

Ok the 11th it is.
Darn it.
A proposal:

Saturday the 11th at
8am Pacific Time
11am Eastern Time
4pm GMT

AND
Saturday the 18th at
6am Pacific Time
9am Eastern Time
2pm GMT
12am Sydney Time (for Rain Dog)

There's no reason that we can't do two of these, especially when it's this frickin' busy for everyone.

Thoughts?
In truth, I could see myself participating in BOTH of those dates...
8:00 AM on the 11th is actually perfect for me.
Oops. I double checked and it turns out the 11th is not a good day for me after all.

I like the idea of having two dates to fit everyone. Though some freshness may be lost the second time around.

May I also suggest Sunday the 12th? Just in case.
Two dates is good. And for the first date, either the 11th or 12th is good for me. The 18th or 19th are out.
I like the idea of two dates also. I should be free for either one, but I'm supposed to be filming for a web series this month, and I'm not sure which weekend I'm needed for yet. This makes it so that I can contribute no matter what.
I can do either date.
A double showing works for me too - I can only do the 18th tho.
I can't do the 11th or the 18th, but the 12th or the 19th? Those would be perfect!
Bump? Any final decision?
I thought that we were all system's go for this Saturday AND next Saturday.

so did I.
I'm in for this Sat. morning, 8:00 AM PST.
Is there no way that one of the dates can be changed to a Sunday? Or, even if not for this CHUD WATCH ALONG, for one in the future? I work literally every Saturday. Every single one
post #45 of 427

I could actually do this Sunday, but it depends on everyone else.
I think the two Saturdays is good - seems as if almost everyone is available for one of them.

What time are we starting this Saturday?
I'm a go for this Saturday. I would prefer if we could start at 11 or noon EST, but I'm flexible if it needs to be earlier or later.
I've said before that I'm free on both dates but as I iive in Sydney, Australia I'd rather not be up at 3am, depending on the timezones for this watchalong, I tried looking up the timezones to find out as everyone is in different states, I'm not exactly sure what the time difference will be.
FWIW, I'd prefer earlier than noon Eastern (United States), but of course will bow to the will of the mob.

Hey there, Nathan:

Sydney time is GMT + 10 hours.
EST is GMT - 5 hours.

As such, this Saturday's showing would be at 2am and the 18th's would be at Midnight. This midnight showing is what we did for Rain Dog so that he could join in on the 'Transformers' watch-along that we did back in November.
