I know here have been some suggestions tossed around for what time this is going to happen, but have we actually settled on a start time yet?

Sounds good. Have fun guys. I'll join you on the 18th.

Gearing up for this. Grabbing a shower, and then I'll be set up and ready to go for this watchalong.
I just told the wife unit what we're all doing in 45 minutes. She thinks that we're insane. No matter...
Is this going on in chat or in this thread?
in this thread so that we can keep a record...for posterity.
Jesus, we picked the perfect morning to do this. We've got a whiteout going on outside.
Almost set up. Got the DVD in, laptop up and running, cup of Earl Grey steeping...
Just popped in the disc, ready to roll.
Ready to go here as well. That's three of us so far.
Okay, I'm ready. Hope it's not just three of us...
Same. should we give it until 5 after for any stragglers, just in case?
"Some material may not be suitable for children." Yeah, if they're wussies.

I'm paused, ready whenever.
I'm willing to wait a few more minutes...
I'm in. Just starting now
Just checked chat in case anyone thought it was running over there, but nobody.
glad to have ya, Ratty. We're waiting until 5 after to officially start.

Always loved "Hot Hail". Like hail's not bad enough, it has to be HOT.
all hail Dino De Laurentiis
I hit play. I hope others will be jumping in soon. I know Ken was supposed to be here...

Isn't "Hot Hail" and "Meteor Storm" kind of redundant?
Ornella Muti...one of the most gorgeous women to ever walk the earth.
I love the fact that the ring sound was used in Scott Pilgrim.
This Queen song never fails to get my adrenaline pumping...
You know, I don't see how anyone can see the Alex Raymond artwork during the opening credits and be remotely surprised at the film that followed.

Indeed... Just looking at her makes my eyes get tingly.
ok, credits just ended for me. Where is everyone in order to synch up?
So, great soundtrack . . . or the Greatest Soundtrack?

Just ended here too.

Hail.
Is there where I out myself and say that I always prefered Dale to the Princess?
ok, I'm pretty well synched with Richard.

Melody is quite the looker.
Especially once she starts wearing all the latest Mongo fashions.

Ginger vs Maryann
Betty vs Veronica
Dale vs Aura

You can't go wrong with any of the choices.
Just cut to Zarkov's lab.
Is Zarkov's asst. the same guy that was the government spook in Raiders?
I've always chuckled at how quickly this courtship between them goes. They just met, but by the end of the film they are engaged...
yep, and also Porkins from 'Star Wars'
Love that hero shot of Zarkov with the US flag beneath him. "CHECK THE ANGULAR VECTOR OF THE MOON!" America!
Must have been caused by "Top. Men."
God this is gorgeous on blu ray.
Sadly, I wasn't able to pick up on Blu in time.
It just occurred to me that the opening is pretty much a mini-remake of The Rocky Horror Picture Show: bland but pretty couple's travel affected by storm, seek help at mad scientist's house, get swept up in wacky adventures.
Scientist, or thug? Damn this guy is hardcore... FOR SCIENCE!!"
