The stylized game is looking great.

It may be nicely stylized, but it's not for me. It breaks my heart to see that a BTTF game is being made and it's not AAA. I want a hyper detailed photo real Delorean so I can cruise the streets of an open world HILL VALLEY circa 1955, 1985, 2015 and 1885. When there are games like ASSASSIN'S CREED 2 and RED DEAD REDEMPTION out there, the BTTF people need understand that the bar has been raised!

I don't know about that Kate. The games you mentioned work in an open enviroment because of the nature of the Stories. BTTF is not a series that lends itself to the kind of stuff you normally do in that type of game.

Well... I can see what you're saying but think we'll have to agree to disagree. I can see alot of different quests one could complete in an open world BTTF. You could have to purloin a ticket to the FISH UNDER THE SEA dance, or use stealth to steal back an almanac from Principal Strickland. Hunt down parts to fix the Delorean, or sneak into CG's house in a radiation suit! Start off on foot, but soon earn exciting vehicles like 50's era proto skate boards, or Biff's convertible! It actually seems like a universe designed for open world tasks, since Marty usually arrives in a location, then has to do a bunch of stuff in different places before he can leave. That's his MO for the series

I think you just made my point clearer than I did Kate. The types of side quests you could do would be a hell of a lot less interesting that the normal stuff you could do in an open plan game. The morality of the main charater for example means you couldn't do a lot.

I’m digging what I’ve seen so far.

Yeah, I’m on board with doing this as an adventure game. I’ll be pretty tickled if we get some good Day of the Tentacle-style time warping shenanigans out of this.

Haha fair enough!

..In fairness though I am a fan of slow traveling around open world maps and generally behaving peacefully. I love to wait hours for trains in RDR, take them to mexico, play poker, wait for the train, and take it back to the US! Traveling about Hill Valley on a proto board sounds like great fun to me
