Um, yeah, this is a man who clearly understands nothing of the principals on which my revolution was founded. "Don't see it in 2D, it was shot for 3D"? Let me be clear: I've long held that every movie is better in 3D, if for no other reason than immersion. I know that some of the new cinematic language being devised for 3D films includes shots and sequences that lets the audience look at the world in a way a 2D film could not. With that said, given his previous simple minded dismissal of 3D as a "gimmick", I don't believe for one moment he's shot a TRANSFORMERS film that displays a subtle use of perspective and spacial relationships. I think if Bay thinks he "shot for 3D", this means tea cups comin' atcha. Not that I would ever see another TRANSFORMERS film in the first place, but just because you shoot in native 3D does not mean you are using the technology the way it is supposed to be used. It sounds very much like he's shot a gimmicky film (full of things flying out at the audience) that would look ridiculous in 2D, and not like he's shot an innovative film that benefits from the new tool box made available through the 3D Revolution
PS Bay's rants are childish and embarrassing. He rants and raves and comes off looking no more intelligent than the commenters he's railing against. A man with zero class
