She'll probably be playing either Luisa Rey (1970s) or Meronym (distant future). I guess Sonmi (near-ish future) is also a possibility, if they decide to alter the setting.

I've always imagined Cloud Atlas having the same core cast across all the time periods (a bit like The Fountain).

Is PERFUME worth a watch Renn? I had heard it was meant to be a bit toxic.

Sounds cool, I'd be on board for something more experimental from the Wachowskis after SPEED RACER (which I've turned around on). I've not read this book but the idea is intriguing enough that I'd give it a shot. Not a huge Ms Berry fan, but then again the Wachowskis managed to make Matthew Fox and Emile Hirsch bad ass in SPEED RACER, so I am sure they could get her to raise her game

One question though..

Sounds like I need to read Cloud Atlas, stat.

Glad to see I'm not the only Perfume fan. It's terrific and goes to some really crazy and unexpected places.

You're most definitely not. It's lurid and gripping. By the time it got to that finale? I knew that I'd probably not see many more movies like it in my life. The movie goes insane in the most delightful and unexpected way

EDIT: I have an intense dislike for THE INTERNATIONAL though
