Need some Creature Corner Help, please.

Alrighty, here it goes. I was able to track down an old, and I mean really old vhs copy of "Terror on Tape" it basically just plays numerous scene's from slasher films which claim to be 'scary' I stumbled across one clip, it showed a man who wore this panty hose like mask and chased some kid into his room, the kid who was wearing I believe a blue pajama outfit picked up a shotgun and blasted him, the killer fell to the ground and began whining and screaming in pain, my memory is vague since I haven't seen the film in sometime, but I think the small flash that ran across the bottom titled this film "Nightmare, or Nightmare in a damaged brain." My question is this, does anyone know if this is indeed the film, I've searched countless reviews but still am unsure about this, I am pretty sure the killer dawned a panty hose like mask and wore a black suit outfit. And if this is indeed the film, has anyone seen it, and what is your take on it? I know not to expect much from a slasher movie, but from the scene I was able to see it was somewhat disturbing. All help would be greatly appreciated.

Alright, thanks! I'll give it a shot and try tracking this film down, just to see what it's really like.

While browsing a local HMV this week, I could have sworn I saw this movie on DVD in the reduced rack. So it's out on Region 2.

Haha..."Better than Evil Dead and DRILLER KILLER!" Haha...Driller Killer, thats the best they could do to match with Evil Dead?? Driller Killer...haha...

Yup, in the UK now. Cut by a far bit though. 2 minutes - making it vaguely in line with the R-rated US version. It was passed "UNCUT" - as this version has it - but it was pre-cut by its distributor to shit.

Romano Scavolini's Nightmares In A Damaged Brain was one of the only successful prosecutions made under The Obscene Publications Act amendment to The Video Recordings Act 1884...sorry 1984 (although it might as well have been the former). Reprehensibly the draconian fuckwits made sure its distributor did about 6 months in the clink for releasing an uncut version of this picture. Y'know, when rapists and child molestors get off with a caution and fucking tick on the sex offenders register. The full sorry tale is relayed in John Martin's indispensible authority on the video nasties debacle in the UK, The Seduction Of The Gullible.

Famed (in the UK at least) for promotional material such as the distribution of vomit bags and guess the weight of a human brain in a jar, perhaps the most notable aspect of the film is that Dario Argento ripped off the scene where a character bends over to reveal another directly behind them for shock value from NIADB for his infinitely superior Tenebre the following year.

Aside from the shocking flashback and the limp twist, there's very little to see here. Move along now...
