Nick gets exhilarated about outer space and shit.

The second I noticed this article, my formerly good mood took a tumble; I'd been hoping for weeks to review these. So much so I should probably keep exactly how much I wanted to review them to myself. Despite my disappointment, this was lovely. The format's as fun as ever and I'd just like to close by saying I love The Terror Within's title screen very deeply.

Somehow a DVD War article without boobs feels incomplete, despite Nick being considerate enough to include some Singer manflesh.

The second I saw that Nick was going to write about shitty Corman Alien rips starring guys like Big George Kennedy, Marc Singer, and Andrew Stevens, my day was MADE.

George Kennedy called his sandwich making hand The Beastmaster.
Fucked me up for a good ten seconds.

This is the best.

The biggest acting challenge of Marc Singer's challenged career was in making this creature look like it could cause him the most minute of swelling if it were to make contact. He failed but it still is a career high point.

FUCK STRASBURG.
This too. I am reminded of that lulzy big acting moment Singer had in the first V mini series, where he tried to explain to his evil mom why oppression of the weak by the strong is bad (or some shit like that, it's been a while).

Thanks, folks. I had fun with this, though my running joke that George Kennedy is dead fell on deaf ears if the talkbacks are any indication.

That's the very reason I was so conflicted! I wanted to read the hilarity that would surely follow as much as the next Chewer, but I knew by the article's very existence I couldn't get my dirty paws on the set! Y'see, I'd been keeping an eye out for it since I saw it in the upcoming titles slip inside the 1988 Not of This Earth case, another Corman Classics release.

Still, the tree synergy comment alone told me this one worked out the way it was meant to.

A pleasure, as always. As for the talkbacks, I think of them like a garage band thinks of their neighbourhood audience: the nastier/more redundant the feedback, the better the song or, in this case, article.

Hahahahahahahaha The Boogens. Good show, all around.
