Talk about a movie. One of the few to genuinely make me cry, and probably one of my favorite experiences in a theater yet, and that's even with the dude who looked like Francis Ford Coppolla snoring through the entire thing.
I don't know if it tops The Searchers for me in Ford's filmography, but it might be a close second. One of the things it DEFINITELY makes me want to do is rewatch Citizen Kane, because I kept thinking that this might be a better-looking, prettier movie than that one, also by Gregg Toland. Toland's work here blew my fucking mind.
