2010 By The Moments (OBVIOUS SPOILERS) - Page 2

Most of my picks (so far) have already gone up:

The toys face the inferno
Scott suits up, ties shoes
IIIIINNNNNSSSSIIIIDDDE YYYOOOOOUUU
Ree gets a hand

and I'll add:
Wallace's sleep-texting
Hit-Girl switches to Kryptonite

Inception: So many have been stated, but perhaps my favorite-
Mal: "You remember when you asked me to marry you? You said you dreamt that we'd grow old together."
Cobb: "And we did... I miss you more than I can bear... but we had our time together. And now I have to let go... "
Cut to old Mal and Cobb in their own world, and tears in my eyes

The Trip: Every glorious moment of this show could work, but the Bond and Liam Neeson impressions killed me.

The Social Network: "You better lawyer up, asshole, because I'm not coming back for the 30%. I'm coming back for everything."

Community: Chang's entrance at the end of 'Modern Warfare.' Also, the first close-up freeze on Abed signifying the beginning of the homage to Goodfellas. Chills.

Black Swan: Relatively new, so maybe spoilers............Nina's first dance in her dream, and her final dance as the Black Swan.

Never Let Me Go: Keira Knightley's final scene, the coldest exit imaginable.
Definitely seconding the Never Let Me Go pick, but for Machete, I'm going with Trejo using some dude's entrails to rappel down a building.

-- Never Let Me Go - Andrew Garfield lets loose one of the most heartbreaking wails ever put on film. It could have been parody, the audience could have been laughing, but there was not a single whisper in the the theater.

And can "the entire True Grit trailer" count? Because that shit is better than most of the movies this year.

I like the way you think.

Jackass 3D - Any bits of slow motion.
Gone with the Pope - The final slow motion fight, which was just the actors literally moving very slowly.
Survival of the Dead - The final shot.

Exit Through the Gift Shop - Banksy shows us clips of Guetta's "film".
Animal Kingdom - Smurf orders a hit
The Town - Jem has his last drink.
Inception - the moment of inception
I like it better when the title of the movie is first - so i can avoid ones I don't want spoiled.

Exit Through the Gift Shop - Maybe it's just me geeking out, but the montage of Guetta actually working with some of the most prolific street artists today is phenomenal and carries so much adrenaline.

The dream sequences in UN PROPHETE are some of the most visually arresting I've seen in a long time, and that's saying something in a year where INCEPTION and 127 HOURS was released. The sequences are memorable mostly because they capture perfectly that ethereal, intimate, tunnel-vision vibe of dreaming where you're caught up in something beyond your control that feels real but really you're all alone with your thoughts seeing everything through your mind's eye.

Cyrus - Jon C. Reilly turns a alme party into a dance party. Jonah Hill playing the synthesizers with a detached look.
THE FIGHTER: Amy Adams vs Mickey's sister

SCOTT PILGRIM: Michael Cera's horrified line-reading of "What is she talking about?" when Roxy reveals that she's Evil Ex #4.

SPLICE: the disasterous shareholders presentation.

THE RUNAWAYS: Dakota Fanning impersonates David Bowie singing "Lady Grinning Soul" to a baffled high school audience.

TRUE GRIT (keepin' it vague for those who haven't seen it):

*"That is not La Boeuf."

*"That did not pan out."

*The man in the grizzly suit.

*The Injun's last words.
It seems that every three weeks or so I'm reminded of the opening credits to Enter The Void. Taken out of context on YouTube, they're still a marvel. But as seen on the big screen that first time, it's something else entirely. Anxiety inducing, maybe.

Be sure to change the YouTube video to the highest resolution before watching.

Best line from the entire film. That got huge laughs.

The No Country for Old Men-esque standoff between Hank and the twins is probably the best moment of not only the show, but all TV alone.

Rabbit Hole- The entire film . . . Sandra Oh and Aaron Eckhart smoke pot then go to group.
To be a little more specific on Rabbit Hole - Eckhart losing it and screaming/crying "You're trying to erase him!". I mentioned it in the discussion thread, but Jesus, it keeps haunting me. He is so very, very good in the entire movie, but he reaches a whole other level in that scene.
As does Kidman. Her "Like maybe I don't feel it" moment in the same scene is haunting me like it sounds Eckhart's is haunting you.
Lots of mine already mentioned. Adding for now:

Kick Ass: "Show's over motherfuckers!" (and the scene of Hit Girl covering up Big Daddy right after that)

True Grit: The horse haggling.

BLACK SWAN

--Nina is backstage, where the embodiment of the Black Swan casually walks by her holding a coke and goes "What's up?" I know it was the actor proper in the ballet, but given her current state and how she's been haunted by the image the whole movie, it's both unsettling and surprisingly hilarious, especially her reaction.

THE SOCIAL NETWORK

--"You had better lawyer up, asshole, cause I'm not coming back for my 30%. I'm coming back for EVERYTHING." Andrew Garfield is so damn great in this scene.
Knight and Day: Roy jumps from the mid-air police motorbike onto the hood of a speeding car. No set up, just Woo-woo! Varooom! Thud!
Thread Starter
"That's what the money is for!" (Mad Men)
The American: Violante Placido.
Social Network: Someone's asking Mark if he knows whether a particular girl is seeing anyone. "It's not like people wear signs that..." And the light goes on.
