This Chris Angel guy...

...yeah, the guy that's on Fox Family's Halloween scheduling. The magician dude.

He's not the Chris Angel who directed "Wishmaster 4" (just released on DVD!) is he?! Who let him direct a movie in the first place?! Who do I have to pull a rabbit out of a hat for to direct in this friggin' town?!

He is not the same guy as far as I know.

He's been around for a loooong time now. I first heard of him in Carpe Noctem magazine back in '98 or '99. Clive Barker did an intro on his debut CD for his band Angeldust, so of course I had to get it. The band is him and this guy Clay Scott, it's electronica type industrial, fairly radio friendly, pretty good, catchy. And then there's the cool magic stuff too.

I followed his progress for a while and then the website stopped getting updates and I forgot, but now he's on this TV special and I missed a performance last Spring when I was in NYC, I taped the Family Channel special but haven't watched it yet, didya like it?

Very much along the lines of David Blaine stuff.Still pretty impressive the levitation,card tricks, etc.All in all I think he is very, very good at what he does.And his levitation trick blows away David Blaine's.

I couldn't watch him for more than one card trick. After that the eyeliner and his "scary" googly-eyes had me cringing...I opted instead for "Berman and Berman"
