I was originally going to post this in the Re-Cast thread. But I realized it wouldn't really count.

The principle is similar, though. I'll start us off.

I know they're already doing a movie of this. But we don't know if it will be a straight adaptation or what. So... Just for kicks, here's my take.

Before branching out into woman hating and corpse fucking, Fabfunk used to fill his threads with giant photos just in case we forgot what Amy Adams looked like.

Oh... I'm just following the Recast thread format. I don't put the photos to be obnoxious. I try to find photos of the actors as they would probably look playing the characters.

To help your mind's eye picture the movie.

The one of Amy Adams is a little big, I know. But I couldn't find a smaller one of her that looked specifically like Elena Fisher.

You should go on the Recaast thread and look at my 70s Die Hard re-imagining. The shot of Rutger Hauer as Karl might make your eyes explode.

If they were to do a Metal Gear Solid movie, there are only three people that could play Solid Snake(in my opinion); Viggo Mortensen, Christian Bale, or Eric Bana.

How about Gary Oldman as Ocelot?

This is certainly an interesting cast. But, to be honest with you, having the live action version of Vice City with the actual voice actors playing those roles would be just fine by me.

I guess you mean if this were now.

Fair enough. But keep Luis Guzman as Diaz.

In other news, I always thought if Out Of This World were a movie (in the 90s of course) then David Caruso as Lester Chaykin and Arnold Schwarzenegger as the alien friend would have been perfect casting.

"Twisted Metal" would make a great flick; pure car stunts and action. Although the remake of Death Race 2000 was more or less that.

I've said it before (on the way home from Avatar, probably in another thread too) but Joel David Moore would make a perfect Otacon. Karl Urban would make a good "in his prime" Snake, and Rachel Nichols is your Meryl. Boom. My bum in a cinema seat. Probably several times, in all honesty.

I loved the hell out of the 'Brad Pitt circling Red Dead Redemption' rumours from a coupla months back. He'd nail the hell out of John Marston.

For the remaining characters hmmm...

Seth Briars would have to be played by Ben Foster surely (or maybe Jackie Earl Haley at a pinch).

Fred Willard would be perfect as Nigel West Dickens.

Sam Elliot as Landon Ricketts would be a given.

She gets fantasy cast a lot, but Amy Adams really would make a great Bonnie MacFarlane, with a special guest appearance by Kris Kristofferson as her father Drew.

Don Johnson's looking grizzled enough to be a fine Bill Williamson.

Gabriel Byrnes the right age to play a villain of mixed morals like Dutch van der Linde.

Gary Oldman would make for a hilariously intense Irish.

...and finally to play the real villain of the story, Federal Agent Edgar Ross, I'd personally love to see an actor the calibre of Michael Gambon add his particular brand of gravitas and menace to the role.

Rain Dog... That is one fantastic RDR casting job. I'm not 100% on Fred Willard. And Kris Kristofferson doesn't really look like Mr. McFarlane. Though he'd do a great job in the role, I agree.

Bumped because I was bored... Plus, I just played through this game for the first time and got inspired. As is, it would make for a delightfully stupid epic revenge picture.

Kratos - Dwayne Johnson

As all the other gods barely appear aside from one scene a piece (and it's just their faces at that) they can pretty much be played by any British or Canadian character actor. Though, since Leona Lewis performs a love theme for the film's soundtrack, she "cameos" as Aphrodite. And Matthew Bellamy shows up as the cowardly Greek soldier who doesn't want to raise the bridge for Kratos during the siege on Athens.
