Nothing? I thought this was really cute.

It's not a common occurrence, but stuff of this nature has happened before, so it's not unique, either. Before this, probably the most cited incident was on the set of HOMICIDE: LIFE ON THE STREET, where an escaping criminal ran through the Baltimore location, saw the actors dressed like cops, and surrendered to them. That incident was later worked into a future episode.

That's also not getting into all the instances of police (or Charlie Sheen) being so taken by the realism in a certain movie that they thought it was real, and investigated/reported it.

It's cute, but it's not that cute.

The Haimpain is a little too fresh for some of us, Renn.

I always liked the story Chiklis tells of the filming of that The Shield episode in Tijuana. Basically, there are probably STILL people out there who think that Vic Mackey is real, and that they saw him and his Strike Team take down a bunch of guys hard and fast on the street, shove one of them into a van and drive off.

Watch the extras to Predator 2 to see how fiction blends with reality. I'm pretty sure that Busey believes that alien life exists, and we should be trying to kick its ass.

This is a fun story, thanks for bring it to my attention, CHUD! It gave me an interesting idea: since it seems like good publicity, I wonder if anyone has ever purposefully called the cops about various "crimes" going down on a movie set in order to get a story about the films "realism" out there

Yeah, cause that wouldn't be an actual crime.

Wasn't there a headless corpse found on the set of Wild Things? I hope I don't end up making that up.

And Renn, I shared this story on Facebook if it's any consolation.

Glad to see Stephen Geofferys not starring in a flick called Butt Blazers #69 for once.
