I keep forgetting that Keanu is part Japanese. Should be interesting to see how that plays out.

I hope this is shot in 3D, otherwise this will be an entirely pointless announcement, as far as I'm concerned. You can't "convert" a 2D image into a 3D one. The very idea is just ludicrous IMHO

Anyway, I have been on something of a LAST SAMURAI kick lately (seen the film 5+ times in the past 2 weeks), and while that film is deeply flawed, it has me in the mood for some good old fashioned bushido blockbuster action. I've essentially turned around on my reservations surrounding Keanu's casting (though for the record, part Japanese or not, it is a little wack), and at this point my main concern is the fact there will be "fantasy elements" inserted into the story. If there was ever a genre that would actively suffer from the inclusion of fantasy elements, it's the historical action adventure yarn. I fear this will be 300 all over again, but for the moment I'm going to hope against hope that I'm wrong about that

Well, you can convert one. I suppose you could also do it covertly if you don't tell anyone.

Has it even been revealed who else is in the cast? Seems like Reeves is the only name out there.
