I like it alot. Now let's hope the trailer will be release soon.

I think if fits Thor to protray him as a mysterious figure than up front and center like how they'll probably go with Cap. He's the lesser known of all the big Avengers members, and I'm sure they have a maketing plan thought up in which they slowly introduce him to the public, building him up, etc.

Cool poster. As a longtime Marvel fan, I didn't need...Thor, on the poster, but I am sure, that there are alot of people who do not know what the film will be about, or who the guy with the hammer is. Nice to see the poster was released on...THORsday, as well!

Not a fan of Hero with his back to us posters.

Pretty stark (no pun intended) design, but I think there's a motif in play here...slap it on a wall next to this and/or this and/or the inevitable Captain America poster that will likely be done in much the same style (Probably either the iconic "hold the shield high" or "Dive into a pile of ninjas" poses) and you'll be able to assemble most of the Avengers just out of teaser posters in the semi-unified "shadowy character shot" style!

I dig it. It's clean, simple, uncomplicated. And it gets the message across effortlessly (this guy's got a big damn hammer and he's got a cape so he's a hero too!).

Love the look of his red cape against the black, and the silver fish scales of his armor. This is a good poster, at least compared to most MARVEL fare. I do have to say though that I don't like the look of his hammer. Should have made it sleeker with a longer handle. Like a sledge hammer. This looks like a big block of metal attached to an incongruously tiny handle, and it seems kind of silly to me

Oh well, can't wait to see what Branagh has cooking up for us. It's sure to be "epic"

PS This is just pointless day dreaming, but I think it would have been neat if they'd gotten Branagh to direct himself as Thor, and given him a MoCap puppet body the way Ray Winstone was turned into the 6'6" Beowulf for Robert Zemeckis' film of the same name

I'm really looking forward to this, despite some minor concerns here and there. Hopefully the trailer that will be released later today, slimmed down from the Comic Con presentation with sharper technical work from post, will impress some of the fence-sitters a little.

Princess Kate, Thor's Hammer, in the film is very similar, to the Hammer seen in, Classic Thor. The other Hammer, was in...The Ultimates. I am very glad to see, that Thor The Film, is mimicing the look of the original Hammer!

Additionally, the short handle on Mjolnir is one of the few things about Marvel's Thor that was actually mythologically accurate.

In the original Norse myths, when Mjolnir was first forged, some trickery by Loki caused the handle to be made too short. Most depictions (even outside of Marvel) show Mjolnir as a one-handed weapon.

I couldn't help but laugh at that last shot - looked like he was swinging at something and totally missed. Looks like fun, though.
