2011 - What games are you looking forward to?

Here are a few of the ones i'm itching to play:
1. Duke Nukem Forever - Who knows? It might actually be good lol.
2. Silent Hill 8 - I can't wait to return to that town.
Now tell us what's on your list.
So many good games coming.

Arkham City, Mass Effect 3, Elder Scrolls, Dragon Age II and my most anticipated, LA Noire.
I'll be the asshole: I'm really curious to see if the rebooted Mortal Kombat turns out any good.
Absolutely Arkham City. Really can't wait to see if Rocksteady can pull off the difficult second album.

It's looking pretty amazing, actually.

Yeah, I don't even know where to start next year, besides F5ing Amazon the day after Christmas until 3DS pre-orders show up.
Listmaking this early might be pointless, but this year will kill me. Besides the three big ones (Dragon Age 2, Elder Scrolls, and Mass Effect 3), the list of day-one purchases is giant. BioShock Infinite, Diablo III, Infamous 2, LA Noire, Portal 2, Batman.

There's a big backlog of possible greatness, too, like Red Faction: Armageddon, Forza 4, Deus Ex, Crysis 2, Twisted Metal, Rage, Max Payne 3, Bulletstorm, and maybe even a Star Wars MMO.
Star Wars: The Old Republic, Marvel Vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds, and L.A. Noire all look pretty rad.

Gotta say, 2011 being extraordinary gets me excited more than it would otherwise after this somewhat lackluster year. As a PS3 owner, all I really got into was Red Dead Redemption (which I just finished last night--thanks, Jeremy Jochman!)

Those who would argue this claim, by all means, offer suggestions so I can reevaluate.
Unless you went crazy for God of War 3, 2010 was a rather mild year for Sony. On the bright side, you get two Mass Effects in 2011.

Holy shit. I had no idea either one was coming to PS3. Just kind of block any news about games I know to be 360 exclusives.

Damn. You just made my day, Trevor.

And I forgot about GoW3. Once I got over the spectacle (the incredible Poseidon sequence), I felt it was merely pretty good instead of amazing.
As a Wii owner, is there ANYTHING for me to look forward to? Aside from the new Zelda, I don't know of anything on the horizon that might be worth a look.
Looks like y'all forgetting about Dead Space 2.

Sequels is the thing for me for 2011. Uncharted 3, Mass Effect 3, Dragon Age 2, Batman: Arkham City. Cautiously interested about Deus Ex, but I'm a little wary that the gameplay might not be as good as it should be.
If I had played enough new games to warrant a list of 10, GOW3 would be #6. It's still damn good, but peaks early.

And yes, fuck, I forgot about new Dead Space.

Not really. Although the last 2 or 3 months or so should have been good to you.

The Nintendo 3D looks great(a new Resident Evil game!).
Too bad I can't afford to buy one.
LA Noire is hotly anticipated. It looks like LA Confidential: The Game. If that's what it is, in any measure at all, I'll be happier than a pig in shit.

Also... Assuming it comes out in 2011, Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception is at the very top of my list. I love that series.
Portal 2, LA Noire & Batman: Arkham City. I hope for some good Kinect games as well.
Pretty much anything Xbox or PC im intersted in has been mentiond here, so here are a few new picks:

-Bulletstorm (its by the creators of painkiller, so i must check it out)
-Bionic Commando Rearmed 2
-Tactis Ogre PSP
-Deus Ex Human Revolution
DragonAge II
Star Wars: KOTOR MMO
Diablo III

That's really about it for me.
Dead Space 2
Duke Nukem Forever
L.A. Noire
Test Drive: Unlimited 2
Marvel vs. Capcom 3
BulletStorm
Mortal Kombat
Deus Ex: Human Revolution
Gears of War 3
Rage
Batman: Arkham City
So, I'm the only one looking forward to Uncharted 3?

Lot of X-Box owners here, I guess.
Nope. I'm looking forward to it too.
Dragon Age 2
Mass Effect 3
Skyrim
Arkham City
L.A. Noire

I won't even know what to do with myself when all of these games are out. Do I play them one at a time, or do I try and juggle three massive RPGs and a Batman game all at once?

I'm already feeling overwhelmed and excited.
I know there are some game that I'm forgetting, but here's the list of games I'm looking forward to in 2011.

Mass Effect 3
Uncharted 3
Batman Arkham City
Red Faction: Armageddon
Elder Scrolls V
SSX Deadly Descent
Deus Ex Human Revolution
Dragon Age 2
LA Noire
Portal 2
Bulletstorm
Rage
Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
I never owned any of the Uncharted games before (just tried one demo) so don't know if I'm looking forward to it ... yet.

So far;

The Last Guardian
Killzone 3
echochrome ii
Little Big Planet 2 (maybe)

Hoping for more augmented reality based Move games too
post #25 of 55
Forgot:

Prinny: Can I really be the hero? 2 (psp)

because im a masochist, thats why.
For The...360...
1) Marvel Vs Capcom 3
2) Mortal Kombat
3) Otomedius Excellent

I am hoping for an announcement of...King Of Fighters XIII!

As for the...Wii? Nothing yet.

Hopefully there will be a...Data East Arcade Classics 2.
Little Big Planet 2 - Don't know how the hell I got into the beta but I like what I'm seeing so far. So many improvements over the original. Need to spend more time with the creation toolset and see what's in there.

Xcom - Curious to see what 2K Marin/Australia have been up to since I left. Just hope the final game is as great as the initial tech demo I saw a year and a half ago.

Duke Nukem Forever/Bulletstorm - World needs more outright silly shooters...is there another 50 Cent game in the pipeline?

Portal 2 - Stephen Merchant ftw.

The Witcher 2

Arkham, Dragon Age 2, Mass Effect 3, Uncharted 3, LA Noire, and Elder Scrolls round out the rest of my year.
Ah, shit, forgot The Last Guardian is next year. I need to start selling myself on the streets now, while people are in a spending mood.

Also, at some point, we get that Studio Ghibli RPG too.
Oh crap! I forgot about Last Guardian too. Maybe it's because the game has been in hiding for so long. I can't wait to see how it turns out.
Mass Effect 3 (might get pushed back to early 2012 for all we know)
Duke Nukem Forever
L.A. Noire
Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Mortal Kombat
Deus Ex: Human Revolution
Prototype 2 (or is that a 2012 release?)

Maybe Dragon Age 2, but that might get put in the backlog.
LA Noire is the only original property I'm hanging for - but god-damn am I hanging.

Other than that it's all about my favourite franchises; Dragon Age 2, Mass Effect 3, Skyrim, Arkham City and the inevitable next Assassins Creed.
Part twos of the DRAGON AGE and PORTAL variety. Possibly L.A. NOIRE. And then, assuming they make date, the MASS EFFECT 3/ELDER SCROLLS V/ARKHAM CITY trifecta that will likely end my marriage and lose me custody of my children.
My wife and I were just recently talking about having kids. After Saturday night's announcements, though?

I'm not so sure now. 2011-12 are already booked, as far as I'm concerned.
I look forward to buying a lot of these games in 2012 when they're cheap.

I might budge and plunk down full price on Crysis 2, Zelda, Dead Space 2, and/or Bioshock Infinite depending on reviews. Part of me wishes I enjoyed the Elder Scrolls games as they are a LOT of bang for your buck, but hey at least I've got Fallout.
LA Noire is #1 for me easily. No matter what type of reviews it gets the trailer and concept sell it for me. Other than that, Mass Effect 3, Uncharted 3, Dragon Age 2, and the new Deus Ex. Skyrim too, though hopefully they do away with the leveled enemies and loot. That almost completely killed Oblivion for me...took a lot of the thrill and danger out of the game.

Second time's it been mentioned in this thread, but sources say B:I won't hit the shelves till 2012, right?
I'm trying not to get too excited for LA NOIRE, just because I think it'll be delayed again.
New Marvel V.S Capcom and Mortal Kombat look promising.
Oh, and I think I'm going to have to fuck around and get a 3DS.

oh, AND Dead Space 2! and that shit is soon!
Dead Space 2, Deus Ex (please be good), Portal 2, WH40K: Space Marine, DoWII: Retribution, Zelda, the 3DS. That's all I've got now.

Oh shit, I think you're right. They shouldn't be allowed to tease games more than a year in advance of release. It's just cruel.
Last Guardian and ICO/SotC HD.

MvC3 should be throwin out some quality party-mashing.

Portal 2. That's next year right? I will admit to heresy: I haven't played through Portal. I've seen a lot of it played by others, including the end-game, so I can dig it. Lots of fun.

But 2-player co-op temporal portal puzzling is something that appeals to me greatly.
They just announced it, but, uh, A MILLION TIMES THIS.

Awesome...maybe if it sells like hell, we'll get Shenmue III? Maybe?
Also, kinda amzed so many people are wishing for non Sega games to be in the compilation....wishful thinking.
ryoken, Was...Afterburner ever released on, The Dreamcast? I would get the collection for that...alone. I love the, Sega Genesis Collection, and I hope this is a similar collection...40 Genesis titles, and...8 unlockable arcade games.
Can someone explain to me the hype for LA Noire? I mean sure it looks nice, but it also looks like it will rely on writing and voice acting. Two things videogames are known to just EXCEL at.
Fleed: There was an okay flight sim called Aerowings early on in the system's run, but can't remember if that was first party Sega or not.

There is, however, this.

Ryan: This implies you've never played a Rockstar game, ever. They tend to work the other way around. The gameplay is what you worry about. The writing and storytelling will be fucking stellar, guaranteed.
Oh cool so I only have to worry about the gameplay when I get the game.

But seriously yeah I've played some Rockstar games before. I applaud them for stepping outside of the box, I'm just skeptical is all.
Their gameplay's usually solid, just not without complaints, is all. The story and writing just allows you overlook that.
Justin Clark, I have wanted...Afterburner Climax, since I first saw the screens on, The-Magicbox.com. The Dreamcast Collection would be a...Must Buy, if that game was included. Thanks for the update.

All it needs is Power Stone and I will own it on day 1.
I'm also pumped for Tales of Xillia. Hopefully it comes out over here though it's always a crap shoot with Tales games when it comes to Localization. It looks to be a PS3 exclusive but Vesperia was a 360 exclusive for only a year. It looks like generic JRPG fare but it's the fighting system I love plus Vesperia actually had my favorite JRPG main character ever who wasn't afraid straight up murdering bad guys.
