EVERY MIRAMAX FILM EVER MADE GETTING A SEQUEL

Bad Santa, Shakespeare in Love, Rounders.... Cop Land?!

So are we talking about theatrical sequels without the original film makers involvement? If so im put off and confused. Although I got to say I would love a real from Dusk Till Dawn sequel with Robet and Tarantino returning.

Also it would be great for them to do another Clerks without Kevin Smith just to watch him have a meltdown on his podcast.

The world needs a From Dusk Till Dawn TV show that strives to hit the high mark of quality entertainment set by USA's The Hitchhiker. A new vampire brothel every week!

If they reboot CLERKS The Animated Series I'm gonna boycott animation. [edit] THE POPE MUST DIE... AGAIN!

Cop Land could actually make a pretty great TV show.

I would watch the living fuck out of an AMC, FX, HBO, or Showtime show based on Cop Land. The television show development part of this deal just makes sense now that most truly great stories with diverse and engaging casts are being made on television.

An actual film sequel to either Rounders or Shakespeare in Love just seem like bad ideas.

Rounders, in particular--I love it--really is just the 1990s update of The Hustler. Damon isn't old enough to go The Color of Money with it, so where is the story there?

They should do a sequel to Dusk til Dawn called Dawn til Dusk, which reverses the switcheroo of the original. Starts as a silly vampire splatterfest, ends as a tense gritty hostage drama.

I want a ROUNDERS sequel. (And the guys who wrote it have said repeatedly that they have an idea for one and Damon wants to do it.)

Yeah, there was a CHUD podcast a while back where Nick talked to the Rounders guys. They have an idea for a sequel, it sounded like both Damon and Norton were on board, it was just a matter of finding the right time. That's the only one that really interests me out of what's listed here, though my love for Swingers would get me in the theater if the original team is involved. I don't really see either Favreau or Vaughn wanting to go back there, though.

I'd sell a kidney to get a Tarantino scripted flick that deals with an older Seth Gecko's dealings in El Rey. Doesn't need even one vampire.

Not to keen on a Cop Land sequel/tv series without Stallone and Liotta, but I'd see it anyway, just on the off chance that it's good.

Bad Santa I'd like to see a sequel to. As long as it's Billy Bob again.

The Crying Game II: Dicked
Reservoir Puppies
Velvet Goldmine: The Grunge Years
The Thin Blue Line: On Second Thought, Maybe He Was Guilty

Sorry, it's early.

The English Patient Rising

The only Miramax sequel I want to see is...Kill Bill III!

If the Bad Santa sequel features another scene with Lauren Graham screaming "Fuck me Santa!" over and over again, all will be good. All will be forgiven. All will be justified.

Even Pulpier Fiction.

I first saw Bad Santa while I was re-watching the last season of Gilmore Girls. Seeing those parallel versions of Lauren Graham kinda made my brain fart.

Anyway...does anyone actually think any of these sequels are going to be anything other than straight to video releases? For that matter, does anyone actually think any of these will see the light of day? Isn't the Weinstein Company basically on their way out? They haven't had a hit movie in over a year and even back when Inglorious Basterds came out they were hemorrhaging cash pretty badly.

Someone mentioned Critters 5 in the comment section.

I. Want. That.

The third From Dusk Till Dawn film was actually a pretty decent Spaghetti Western riff. The second one was a terrible waste of a great cast of character actors.

If they make a 4th one, I hope it at least has a good budget for effects, and that it's got the spirit of the first one. Of course, it will probably just be a DTV flick with a small budget and only a few vampires in the bar.

One things for certain, they can get back Danny Trejo as the bartender.

Maybe they can combine it with Bourne! You know a secret agent that plays cards to save his skin and wants to avoid Famke Janssen... ...oh wait.

Oh and Reservoir Bitches, an all female version (probably with samurai swords).

Dusk til Dawn: Vampire Snake

Yes to more Bad Santa-with Billy Bob! None of the others are worth my time.

Wait a second....All of these sequels and no Good Will Hunting 2: Hunting Season? Bullshit!
Actually, the best part of this deal is that a lot of the Miramax catalog will finally hit blu-ray.

The fact that Norton is even a part of this discussion just screams "POOR JUDGMENT!" to me. First, if Worm is anything other than the villain, it renders the bulk of Mike's character arc in the first film irrelevant. Second, Worm even being alive in the second film kind of neuters the threat of the Russian mob in the first film. You can't have Worm in a sequel without completely pissing on the first one.
