Nice one, Worm. Though now I wanna hear more about the two days in the jail, and the near fatal fall.

Sorry. I need to maintain a hazy air of mystery to sustain my devilish sex appeal.

It's working!!

Great write-up, Joshua. One of the big tragedies of my life is that I don't have anyone cool to do movie nights with.

Joshua Miller, When I was in, high school, my mother instituted...Family Movie Nights. Each of the four of us, my mom, step-father, sister and I would all pick a film. The one thing, the rest of the family would dread, was what, I would pick, when it was my turn. I got so much grief for once picking...The Beastmaster, my turn was skipped the next time. Overall it was a fun experience. We ate microwave popcorn, after having pizza for dinner.

I had no idea Army of Darkness was part of a trilogy when I first saw it either, and sadly, I also have no one cool to do movie nights with at the present time.

Agent Z, Well for one, My sister, then...10, had nightmares for a week over the film.

Agent Z, She has watched...The Beastmaster, multiple times, as whenever, I flipped on, TBS...The Beastmaster was on. For a while...TBS, was known as...The Beastmaster Station. It remains one of my Favorite Films.

The Beastmaster is way better than it should be. I love it.

One of my favorite movie night experiences was a double feature consisting of Predator and Robocop. The two gelled so well together and me and my friends ate them up with gusto.

Well I DO have cool friends and even they can be real killjoys when it comes to starting up a movie night sometimes. It can be like pulling teeth. People are so lazy these days.

Fine. I'll create my own version of the story in my mind then, it will connect all the crazy incidents you mention in an inventive and amusing way. Kind of The Hangover but with John Saxon and Charles Band references.

You're the opposite of me Joshua. I'm one of those assholes who can't quit looking for excuses to drop tales of daring exploits into conversations, often with the aid of rampant non-sequitirs. As such I have cultivated a hazy air of oafishness rather than mystery.

Freakin great writeup. One of my favorite thankfuls I've read here since CHUD started running the column. I did not grow up with films for the most part, and I love seeing how they are folded into other people's lives from a young age. So much of what we enjoy in life isn't because of its inherent worth, but because of the way we access it. You nailed that.
