Didn't Devin call people racists for assuming they had anal sex?

I loved the series and really wished this was an HBo/Showtime type show. I think on ABC this will just be another superhero show lumped in with all the others we have or have coming.

Devin's wrong.

I agree that they should've farmed it out to a premium channel, but I guess they can find a happy middle ground.

Oh I agree Devin was way off base and was bringing it up in more of a "hey remember when Devin said this dumb thing" kind of way.

I think its awesome that this property is getting any kind of attention but I just hate the thought of this becoming another run of the mill spy/crime fighting show that's only twist is it's in a world with superheros.

Are they really having anal sex? Like does the dialog say, "Boy Power Man you sure turned my asshole out. Yessir really ripped me a new one!" Because it may come as a shock to some of you nerds but just because the man is behind the woman doesn't mean they are having anal sex.

That's the thing. Bendis needs to come out and say what's happening without a shadow of a doubt. The talk about it being anal came out of his camp. It's all really just juvenile ha-ha at its best. But, some of the more hardcore should get him to settle it once and for all.

I like how this anal sex/doggy style debate has simultaneously and unintentionally flared up on both Devin and Chud's front pages. I have the issue somewhere, but I'm not going to look it up. It's more fun to watch the battle.

Really?

Which part?

About the anal sex debate. I just headed over to BadAss to check it out.

All we've got over here is a comic shop guy reading off the latest issue of Diamond Previews in the comment section.

Well, I don't like Bendis, I remember this comic running out of steam quickly, and won't be watching the show (the book's whole hook was that it took place within the Marvel Universe; how's the show gonna pull that off?). So I take my entertainment where I can get it. If that happens to be two writers I enjoy both coming away from a sex scene with two different interpretations, then that's my thing.
The whole anal sex scene was a big deal a few years ago and I still don't get why. Most people didn't even start calling it anal sex until the chatter started over at JinxWorld and spread.

Bendis loves going on WordBalloon, so I don't see why he doesn't answer the issue. In the end, it might be as stupid as reading double meanings into Phil Collins songs.

However, it's stupid to call people racist for assuming it's anal sex. It is ok to call them racist for going insane over a Stringer Bell Heimdall.

I can't beleive we are debating the anal sex thing but I always took it as anal because (and I'm paraphrasing) she says something like she was letting him do the one thing he would regret the next day..or something to that extent. One could say that it was simply sex but there seemed to be an emphasis that went beyond regret for a simple one night stand.

Loved the comic, but even without the anal (or not) sex or the Marvel continuity stuff, the material's better suited for cable (Can't see HBO or Showtime doing it, but it would be great for FX).

Why is anal sex racist?

Dunno, but that's not what he said. Two different points in the article.

*avoiding the anal sex discussion*

Cloak & Dagger to ABC Family? Ugh. I'd like to see a dark and gritty take. By the FX Network. I know, I know. ABC ain't going to let that happen.

I assume everyone is having anal sex until told otherwise.

This includes all of you.

Don't look behind you. Also, don't fart.

What's fascinating about that article (aside from the whole thing, it's a great read), is what comes at the very end: the mentioning of Iron Man and the promiscuity of Tony Stark. What occurs to me is that not only is Tony neutered in the sequel (why not have him revert to his philandering ways if he thought he was going to die?), but the trend is about to be repeated by Green Lantern.

The preview plays up prominently Hal's one night stand with some random blond, but of course we know by the end of the film he'll have been redeemed by the love of Carol Ferris. Nothing new, but it does stand out in an industry when previous superhero hookups were always within marriage or "true love".

As for Alias, well, Luke eventually knocks her up so it couldn't have always been anal.

That's not necessarily ruled out. With the right combo of gravity and laziness, that practice can result in pregnancy.

The only Marvel comic that should be made into a tv series is the She Hulk "Single Green Female" run.
Ken Savage, I do not know what run you are refering to, but I would definitely watch a...She Hulk series. David E. Kelly should be producing that instead of...Wonder Woman. His...L.A. Law was great, so...L.A. Law with a Superheroine might just work.

Jessica Jones in Alias is a, Private Investigator, right? It might be interesting.
