Loved this entry. Randomly U.S Acres was called "Orson's Farm" in the UK for some reason. It still rocked though.

I like this entry because it is an example you can show people that like to shit on Garfield. It was pretty tight storywise and also I believe came out as I was nearing my exit to Saturday Morning Cartoon nirvana into other Saturday pursuits but it still captured your attention.

I revisited this not terribly long ago. Holds up better than the comics, though a LOT of that is Lorenzo Music.

Wasn't the Garfield strip a little bit more morbid when it first started? I seem to recall Garfield wishing Jon would get taken to an alley and get shot in the
head. The fantasy wasn't visualized; just one of Garfield's deep inner thoughts.

Agreed.

I love that Music did the voice of Venkman in the Ghostbusters cartoon, and Bill Murray did live action Garfield. There's even a part of me that says Murray took the vocal duties just to pay tribute to Music.

Or I could just be crazy.

Dunno about the comic, but I have vivid memories of that line about people doing stupid things being drug out into the street and shot being a recurring joke on the show. And laughing my ass off every time.
