Christ, I can hardly remember news stories from last month.
Great start!

This doesn't have to be incredibly formal or anything, but as I mentioned in the article remember to include links where possible. Thanks guys.

This will be up and around for a little while.

Huge fan of the tag team reviews on the tv shows. Haven't read the ones for Boardwalk Empire for fear of spoilage, however, The Walking Dead ones are fantastic and it's great to see all the CHUD staff pitching in. It's also great to see a beaten and bloodied Alex carrying two automatic rifles, low on ammo, defending the show as the rest of the crew descends upon him.

And on a similar note...

Litmus Configuration/myers87deserves all the green boxes for that one. One of the funniest damn things I've seen all year.
Would it be uncouth to nominate my "What I'm Thankful For" article?

Just kidding. The Worst CGI list was pretty fun. That's really the only thing that immediately jumps to mind. When you read hundreds of pages of content a year it's kind of hard to pick and choose.
Loved your review of 'Tron Legacy', Renn.
I am personally fond of the "What I'm Thankful For" articles, but a few have stood out. Erik Wacker's definately being one of them. There was one about a library with the monsters section I liked. Ms Rappe and Nick had a couple that mentioned their family's I liked.

Andrea Rothe had an amazing blog post that dealt with child abuse that had to be incredibly hard to write, but was also incredible to read.

I like the "This Day in History's Movies" articles.

Oh, and the Horror 101 class was alot of fun too!

ETA: Fixed the title of the This Day in History's Movies. Couldn't remeber what it was actually called. Heh.

For you, yes. For me, no. That was my favorite so far, with Rappe's love letter to Clint Eastwood being a runner up.

As for other stuff, I'm gonna have to do some poking around later on to refresh my memory.
I'm changing my vote. Horror 101 is brilliant. My favorite thing this site has put out.
Oh yes, the Clint Eastwood Thankful was a favorite too.
I would like everyone to revisit this wonderful bit of stupidity!

http://www.chud.com/articles/article...GED/Page1.html

Personally, I think I'll be voting for a Twin Peaks or a Tales from the Crypt write-up. Have to go through them again to pick the best ones.
I second/third/fourth Horror 101.

Alex's Spiderman musical/Flight 175 headline was some great gallows humor, albeit controversial to some.
The Lost Column that Jesse Custer did was one of the best things I read during the spring.

That said, I love Renn's Videodrome shout out. That video store looks like all kinds of awesome.

Got more to think of. The tag team review of The Expendables by Nick and Renn might be my favorite review so far.
J David Rhodes' DVD reviews for V: Season One and Suburban Psycho: Horror Collection are both outstanding, as is Thomas Treasure's for Starcrash.

Pants on the Outside: A Blog by Mike is consistently superb. If there's an award for best new message board poster or blogger (or both), my main man Mikey and partner in fool wastin' gets this Bear's vote.

I'd watch the life right out of that show! And read a tag-team review for every episode, if I could (keep 'em comin', please.)
Top pick for me? Chud Podcast #45 (Tiny Dynamite!). I have listened to it 3 or 4 times.

I really dug the Worst CGI List and the HUGE change that lists are now consistent and completed.

There were some really fantastic "Dellamorte Does Box Office" columns this year but I'll be damned if I can recall them off the top of my head. I'm getting old.

I'll also be so bold as to mention the entire Nick/Devin drama. I know most folks will take the high road on this one but it was pretty riveting in the same way that Howard Stern's show remains interesting almost completely through the behind the scenes drama they are willing to put on the air. Really amazing stuff, and I'm thankful it was put out there for us to witness.

Came in here to vote for Custer's Lost columns, as well as the creation of TV Lost & Found. I love the current Blu-Ray list as well, but I think the two best things for the site in 2010 have been the emergence of Renn and Rappe as writers. Both have been wonderful additions. EDIT: Forgot to add, more stuff from Mr. Dellamorte is always welcome.

The Devin/Nick stuff was easily my least favorite site moment of the year.
I didn't hesitate a moment when asked to choose. One story towers above the rest. It warmed my heart and gives me hope:

XIII!!!

Renn Brown,
My favorite parts of...CHUD.COM!
1) Nick Nunziata's List of Dumb.
2) Taking Part in the...B Action Movie Podcast.
3) Nick's Steady Leak.
4) Posting with my fellow...B Action Movie chewers in the thread of the same name.
5) Saturday Morning Cartoon discussions.
6) Thread for...The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes.

Really though, I love taking in all of...CHUD.COM, each day. I love the...Articles, the Tag Team Reviews, Discussing a wide range of topic in...The Message Board with an even wider range of characters, What I'm Thankfull for etc.

Chief Wiggum's "you couldn't have picked a worse time" to Mayor Quimby as he's handed the dollar sign bag springs to mind now.

(You're very welcome.)
For the more "serious" stuff Horror 101 easily.

The list of dumb is a constant favorite of mine.

And put me in the list in favor of the Tag Team TV series reviews. Very fun stuff.

I'd also add Sam Strange's magnum opus, his analysis of various GnR music videos, but his self pimping ass already took care of that.
I don't know if I think Horror 101 is the best because it was really my favorite this year, or because everyone else loves it and it's always really good, especially the new one. Andre's Box Office articles seemed especially sharp this year.

What a legend... no wait. Legend isn't grand enough. You are a titan.
The world has less fools in it due to your tireless efforts.

Thank you for the shout out. You rock! I'm still trying to get funding for our masterpiece.
Mike's Pants, The problem with calling anyone a...Titan, is they eventually get involved in a...Clash, with a son of Zeus!

I knew I missed something. I enjoy the blogs, as well.
Sam Strange's PAD and GNR deconstruction were amongst the funniest i've read on the site.
Oh yeah, the Paranormal Activity Demon. I forgot about him.
Skeleton IV. Lock the thread.
Poor IV. He had the shortest, saddest life. I think the author of those articles is at home now licking his wounds.
Why? He certainly was riding on an upwards curve of quality. He should keep at it.
Steve found another gig.
Favorite stuff eh? hmm

as mentioned before horror 101 is awesome and I would love to see it applied to other genres.

the I think this year has been great for MCP and the video game side of the site in general.

Saturday morning cartoons reviews

Chud Watch-A-Long: Transformers edition.
I also want to throw some love for The Transformers Watchalong.
It was a fantastic (and let's face it daft) event. It took a long time to get together but everyone had a blast. If you missed it it's worth having a look if only to see a dozen or so adults turn into children over 90 minutes.

Also when everyone suddenly goes "Oh that's right, it just... ends" was funny.

ETA: See how much shit Ultra Magnus gets.

I'm kinda with Patrick; frankly, I think CHUD suffers from an embarrassment of riches in the "good/great articles" category.

List of Dumb and Ask Nick, though, are certainly favorites of mine.
Are people subconsciously omitting Devin's work from consideration, or are they assuming he's persona non grata as far as this goes? 'Cause I don't see how a discussion of CHUD's best from the last year could leave him out.
Or maybe we actually like the stuff we're suggesting?

As far as I'm concerned? In addition to being a recent and still running feature on the site, Horror 101 is as good as anything Devin has ever done. Does there have to an ulterior motive?

Don't think I was saying you didn't, but okay.
Devin's Inception editorial was really excellent. Horror 101 is my favorite feature ever though.
"Movies That Never Were" was a great column. "Late To The Party" is always fun. The film history articles tend to always be my favorites. Elizabeth's on track to bring that angle back to the site full tilt.
Never Wake Me Up was certainly a high point of the year.

You are most welcome (and flattering, thanks.) It had to be said.

Speaking of which, I believe Last Action Hero is on soon. It reminded me we should approach Charles Dance to be in our flick.

I think there could be approximately 6 degrees of Bear in play there, duke:

Titan. Titanic. Belfast. Northern Ireland. Neeson. Clash.

I'm still disappointed by IV's departure. Though, his output would definitely be on my list as well, no matter how brief his stay.

Agreed 100%. It was nothing short of wonderful.

Andrew makes a great point about Nick's thoughts on Species, by the way. That was hilarious.
Custer's Lost column was fantastic and the TV Lost & Found has been a real treat.

Renn's Black Swan review is another great piece that stands out in my mind.
Bobby Bear, You apparently have much to...Bear! Do not...Hibernate, too long, or your next response will be delayed.
