Dune (1984).

A disgusting overblown $47 million dollar abortion from David Lynch and a real bad adaptation of the greatest Sci-fi/fantasy book ever written. I think Alejandro Jorodowsky or Ridley Scott could have done this adaptation since they are fans of the book but Lynch was a total miscast director.

Such a physically ugly movie with a dozen gory gross-out scenes, miscasting of chacters especially Sting who can't act, a cool score by Toto (One of the good points), some lame visual effects and major confusion. It's more of a parody of the book than an adaptation, i'm glad it flopped at the box-office and got bad reviews as Lynch disowned this film.

I'm also glad they are redoing Dune for the big screen to do Herbert justice.
