2001 is a no brainer, but DO NOT sleep on Playtime, any NYC people who might be reading this. You won't be sorry.

Dammit, I have an all day event on Jan 15 and will miss 2001 (which I still have yet to see)!

Man, a 70mm print would be an AMAZING way to first experience 2001. That's a legitimate bummer. Call in sick.

Added to what Patrick said, ain't nobody better be missing Out of the Past, otherwise, we're not friends.

I haven't seen Out of the Past, but LOVE the films Jacques Tourner did with Val Lewton (Cat People, I Walked With A Zombie). How does it compare?

It's a goddamn masterpiece, straight-up. You could show people a double feature of that and Double Indemmnity and they'd pretty much know everything they needed to about film noir.

I have two friends (filmmakers, no less) who are getting dragged along to have their eyeballs melted for the first time. I really can't think of a better way to experience it. Fuck a blu-ray.

Also, The 5,000 Fingers of Dr. T sounds so nutty I can't miss it. It's a musical written by Dr. Seuss!

Yeah, Out of the Past is incredible. You lucky motherfuckers.

That one's a "lush print restored from a nitrate negative", by the Library of Congress.

A one year membership to the museum gives you tickets to 20 screenings. I'm going to burn through those real fast...

Got my tickets confirmed for the 15th- Playtime and 2001. Anyone going? Love to see some Chewers at these.

I'm also going to be attending a press preview of the Museum next week and bringing you my impressions of the place.
