That was a good one. You put a rather heartwarming spin on your father's lifelong habit of cheating his way through crossword puzzles!!

Great piece. At my theatre the staff tends to collaborate on crosswords and I get to be That Guy.

The family that cheats together, eats together.

As my family's version of the crosswords puzzle cheat sheet, I concur. Although in addition to my being family's movie nerd, I'm also the science, history and literature nerd, so I get multiple attempts to help out whenever my mother attempts a puzzle.

It's a real descending scale of manliness in the Miller household, generationally speaking. As badass as my dad is/was, my grandpa was the ultimate Swede; notorious for refusing to wear gloves, well into his 80's (keeping in mind we live in Minnesota). And his dad died at sea, like a true Viking. Me? I write about horror movies for the interwebs.

Hey buddy! Watch it. Watching Zombi and Cannibal Holocaust at twelve is super fucking manly.

Haha, yeah I can relate in a way. My old man's side of the family is Danish and we always get to hear about how tough they were, being from viking stock etc.

I finally got around to checking this out and enjoyed the hell out of it. Goo job, Josh.
