More comics based racist tomfoolery.

So, during this latest "Batman Inc." arc Bruce Wayne is going around the world 'franchising' superheroes in major cities under the Batman banner, to prepare for some big bad thing that is going to happen. For Paris he chose a 22 year old guy called Nightrunner. What got the conservative bloggers' panties in a bunch? He's of Algerian descent and Muslim of faith.

Read the story.

And then wallow in the miserable racism.

I'll keep my day alright by ignoring the freakout at an Algerian in France and simply say that costume looks cool.

French and Muslim? For American's that's a double insult. Nationalism is only good if we do it >:|

How dare they make it harder to paint an entire group with one brush!

I'm confused as I thought they were all going to be Batmen. So far in Grant's book, the Japanese recruit became a Batman. In the non Grant book the guy is given a new Nightwing like identity.

I think the Japanese guy became Batman to make Bat Manga "canon". So I think that was an exception.
