I caught this on Sundance Channel on Demand recently, though I believe it's on Netflix but not region 1 DVD. This is a crazy little film inspired by the life of the "Dancing Outlaw" Jesco White, though plenty of narrative liberties have been taken, what they are I'm not too sure. It's a gritty, brutal and kinda funny film in a very dark way. Though I will say, the whole final act once his big downward spiral happens, consisting of boozing/gas huffing/drugging, the movie pretty much turns into a horror film, it's just tense as hell and scary.
Also the soundtrack is pretty good, what works especially well is the Hasil Adkins track "We Got a Date" during Jesco's rampage of vengeance in the final act. During that whole act, you could believe that that is what was going on in the characters head while he was losing his mind.
